Job Description

Title: Program/Project Manager          

Overall Years of Experience: 10+           

Relevant Years of Experience: 8+

Project Manager:

Responsible for delivering programs / projects to schedule, budget and quality. The role requires excellent technical knowledge of project management inter-related process stages i.e initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control and close, and the supporting processes e.g. scope, cost, time, issue, risk, resource, communication, stakeholder management. Awareness of and compliance with portfolio management, project management methods and tools and quality assurance is also required. Project Manager must have proficient stakeholder relationship management skills to successfully lead and manage the project team and project stakeholders.

Digital Products and Services (DPS) is a well-established function poised to deliver all EY’s internal automation and Gen AI requirements. Aligned with the EY Global Delivery Services, we have a global remit to support automation for use in Core Business Services and GDS Functions. Operating out of GDS locations in India namely Trivandrum, Kochi, Bengaluru and Gurugram, we offer services to multiple time zones.

• DPS delivers a wide range of services including:
• Automation & Digital Enablement: Robotic Process Automation (RPA), workflow automation, SharePoint and Power Platform solutions.
• AI & Data Engineering: Generative AI apps, conversational AI agents using Copilot Studio, and data transformation initiatives spanning from data engineering to data visualizations.
• Digital Strategy & Discovery: Business process reengineering, solution architecture, and design workshops.
• Process Reengineering & Solution Design: Tailored solutions to improve operational efficiency and user experience.

Position Summary      

• Deliver projects on schedule, within budget and scope, while meeting quality standards.
• Manage the full project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure.
• Define scope, budget, schedule, objectives, phasing and project charters for approval.
• Track, control and report project progress, financial performance, risks, issues, changes and baseline variances.
• Lead project teams, stakeholders, suppliers and resources to support timely delivery.
• Apply governance, Agile project management methods, quality assurance, gate reviews and approved processes.
• Support business cases, solution estimates, transition plans and business readiness activities.
• Assign responsibilities, set priorities, delegate tasks and ensure required resources are available.
• Assess risks, budgets, spendings, tools and lifecycle issues, escalating or improving as needed.
• Oversee complex technology projects and report updates by implementing monitoring and control mechanisms.
• Manage configuration standards, version control, configuration tracking and related compliance.
• Ensure system design lifecycle activities, deliverables, methods and tools are fit for purpose.

Roles and Responsibilities

Essential 

• Analyze stakeholder needs, develop business cases and use analytics to support planning.
• Identify project risks, issues, root causes and financial impacts, and implement mitigation plans.
• Select and apply Agile and Waterfall project management methods, tools and templates across planning, scope, schedule, cost, RAIDS and communications.
• Manage multiple project priorities using strong analytical, problem-solving and practical judgment skills.
• Lead global, cross-functional and virtual teams; assign responsibilities, monitor progress and report project health.
• Collaborate with client, supplier and matrixed teams using strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Coach and support less experienced project managers and project resources.
• Bring extensive end-to-end project management experience, preferably in strategy, business or Corporate IT environments.
• Have 8+ years of business or Corporate IT experience, including 5+ years in software application development.
• Understand customer strategy, services, business processes and the full systems development life cycle.

Skills and Qualifications    

• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Education - Graduate or above
• Preferred – Scrum master certification / PMP / SAFe Agile certification
