About the Role

The Branch Relationship Manager – Rural plays a key role in strengthening customer relationships and delivering exceptional service within the Rural Banking function. The role involves understanding customer needs, guiding them in making informed decisions about their accounts, and ensuring seamless service delivery. The role bearer is expected to maintain up-to-date knowledge of bank products and services, resolve customer queries effectively, and build new relationships with prospective clients. This position is critical in leveraging business generation opportunities to support the bank’s broader strategic objectives in rural markets.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

  • Drive penetration of liabilities business in rural markets through lead generation, account acquisition, and relationship deepening.
  • Maintain the Average Monthly Balance (AMB) of customer relationships mapped to the role.
  • Deepen engagement with existing customers of the branch.
  • Ensure completion of account opening formalities with strict adherence to KYC norms, including mandatory field verification.
  • Promote multiple product adoption during account opening (e.g., mobile banking, net banking, recurring deposit/fixed deposit activation).
  • Monitor account usage and maintain account health consistently.
  • Deliver superior customer service to increase wallet share and customer satisfaction.
  • Resolve customer queries and issues promptly and effectively.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Recommend process improvements to enhance service efficiency and quality across the branch network.
  • Support the implementation of livelihood advancement and community development initiatives.

Education

  • Graduate in any discipline.

Experience

  • Minimum of1years of relevant experiencein branch banking.

Skills and Attributes

  • Strong customer relationship management skills.
  • Good understanding of banking products and services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to assess customer needs and offer suitable solutions.
  • High attention to detail and compliance orientation.
