WordPress Developer (Remote — Night Shift)

Experience: 2–5 years

Salary: ₹40,000 – ₹50,000/month

Location: Remote (work from anywhere)

Shift: 6:30 PM – 2:30 AM IST (fixed, non-negotiable — overlaps with our international clients)

About the Role

We're looking for a WordPress Developer who can build fast, clean, secure websites — not just assemble page-builder templates. You'll handle everything from theme customisation to plugin work to performance tuning, and you'll use AI tools to ship more in less time.

Extensive use of AI is important to expedite the work.

What You'll Do

• Build and customise WordPress themes and plugins from scratch or from designs
• Convert Figma/XD designs into pixel-accurate, responsive WordPress sites
• Work with Elementor, WPBakery, Gutenberg, or custom blocks as the project demands
• Optimise sites for speed, Core Web Vitals, and on-page SEO basics
• Handle WooCommerce setups, payment gateways, and third-party integrations
• Manage hosting, cPanel, migrations, backups, SSL, and security hardening
• Debug plugin conflicts, PHP errors, and broken layouts under deadline
• Maintain and update existing client sites during the night shift window

What We're Looking For

• 2–5 years of hands-on WordPress development experience with a live portfolio
• Strong PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery; MySQL query comfort
• Real theme/plugin development skills — hooks, filters, custom post types, ACF
• Practical, everyday fluency with AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot for code generation, debugging, and documentation
• A creative, problem-solving mind — able to suggest better approaches, not just follow tickets
• Solid understanding of responsive design and cross-browser behaviour
• Clear English communication and the discipline to work independently at night

Nice to Have

• Headless WordPress (REST API / WPGraphQL)
• Git workflows and staging-to-production deployment
• Basic React for Gutenberg block development
• LMS, multilingual (WPML/Polylang), or membership site experience
