Role Overview

The Product Development Specialist will manage the end-to-end product development lifecycle — from concept research and fabric selection to sampling, fit validation, and final product readiness. This role requires a blend of creative thinking, technical knowledge, and commercial understanding to ensure that every product developed (knits and wovens) aligns with SAADAA’s design philosophy, customer needs, and business goals.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Manage full-cycle product development across knit and woven categories, from concept to production handover.
• Conduct market, trend, and consumer research to identify relevant silhouettes and product opportunities aligned with brand DNA.
• Evaluate fabrics, yarns, trims, and finishes for quality, functionality, and sustainability standards.
• Create and maintain CAD sketches, tech packs, and measurement specs for sampling and bulk production.
• Coordinate sampling, fittings, and revisions, ensuring accuracy in fit, construction, and finish.
• Work closely with vendors and mills to resolve technical issues and ensure timely development closures.
• Support costing and margin targets by optimizing materials and construction methods.
• Collaborate with merchandising, sourcing, and production teams for smooth product transitions and on-time launches.
• Guide and support junior team members in execution and technical learning.
  
  

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fashion Technology, Textile Design, Knitwear Design, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in product development within an apparel or fashion brand (knits and/or wovens).
• Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern development, fit analysis, and finishing techniques.
• Proficiency in CAD tools, tech pack development, and garment specifications.
• Hands-on experience with sampling, quality checks, and vendor coordination.
• Working knowledge of costing principles and commercial viability.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple styles and timelines.
• Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions.
