AGM - CS And STP

Job Purpose

Lead end-to-end Circle CS/STP Core Operations to ensure best-in-class network availability, service reliability and customer experience across Data services. Own operational excellence for CS/STP Core platforms through proactive monitoring, incident management, KPI governance, lifecycle management, capacity planning, technology upgrades and new node integration while leading a team of engineers. Act as the Circle Subject Matter Expert (SME) for CS/STP technologies, driving automation, continuous improvement and operational excellence through close collaboration with Cluster, SNOC, Planning, Projects, OEMs and cross-functional stakeholders. Person is also responsible for LD & Regulatory Ops from Core perspective

Key Responsibilities

CS/STP Core Availability & Reliability

• Own end-to-end availability of CS (MSS/MGW) and Signaling Core (STP & DRA) platforms and associated Cloud infrastructure with 99.999% service availability target.
• Lead critical incident management, restoration, traffic rerouting and emergency response to minimize customer impact.
• Drive RCA, corrective and preventive actions to eliminate repeat failures.
• Ensure redundancy, resiliency, backup readiness, preventive maintenance and disaster recovery preparedness.

Operations & Lifecycle Management

• Govern configuration changes through structured impact assessment, implementation and post-change validation.
• Lead software upgrades, patch deployment, feature activation, licensing and capacity expansion.
• Ensure operational readiness, documentation, HLD/LLD compliance and acceptance of new nodes into operations.

Customer Experience & KPI Governance

• Own Circle CS, STP & DRA customer experience KPIs.
• Drive KPI monitoring, degradation analysis and improvement with CPM, SNOC, CODE and OEMs.
• Ensure timely resolution of customer, enterprise and VIP complaints through detailed technical analysis

Deployment & Technology Transformation

• Lead field readiness for new node deployment, modernization, cloud transformation and traffic migration.
• Support new LI, LBS and Signaling evolution deployment and drive automation, AI-enabled operations and digital transformation.

Technical Governance & SME Leadership

• Serve as the Circle CS, Signaling and Compliance SME for complex technical issues, security and regulatory matters, architecture reviews and operational decisions.
• Provide expert guidance during critical outages and mentor engineers on CS and Signalling  technologies and troubleshooting.
• Standardize operational processes and promote engineering best practices
• Focus approach on IP-POI migrations
• End-to-end support and Handling Enterprise complaints related to network, PRI, SIP-PRI, SMS, CRS, VMN etc

Operational Governance

• Maintain inventory, backups, RS&R, audit compliance, security, MTX/Data Centre governance.
• Coordinate with vendors, infrastructure teams and support organizations to ensure operational readiness.
• Coordinate with Nodal officers, LEA and other govt body for all regulatory and security compliance, drive annual audits by licensors
• Carry out MTX visits to identify Key risks at MTX in terms of Power, earthing, cooling, Fire, physical safety etc, coordinate with Infra and drive resolution

People Leadership

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of engineers through coaching, mentoring and performance management.
• Build technical capability, succession pipeline, knowledge sharing culture and high employee engagement.
• Promote accountability, collaboration, HSW compliance and continuous learning

Technical/ Functional Competencies

• CS/STP/DRA Core Architecture  • All signalling Call Flows • Diameter & RO understanding • CSSR, PSR, ASR, SRI SR • Cloud (VNF/CNF) • IP/MPLS • Linux • KPI Analytics • Automation & AI-enabled Operations • Incident & Change Management • Regulatory Compliance (LI/RA).
• 5G SA and VONR understanding is added advantage
• Hands on Operation experience of CS/STP nodes like MSS, MGW, DRA, STP, IP-SBC
• Multi-Vendor Core Platforms exposure like Nokia, Ericsson, Huawei etc
• OEM L3/L4 certificates on CS/STP Core

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Education Qualification

B.E./B.Tech.

Years of working experience

Minimum 10 years total, Minimum of 6+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience within the CS/STP/DRA domain.
