Job Title: Automation Tester

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Automation Tester with strong expertise in both manual and automated testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in test automation using Playwright, Katalon, NeoLoad, BrowserStack, and ReadyAPI, along with solid manual testing fundamentals. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality software delivery across web applications and APIs.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing (functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and UAT) to validate business requirements.
• Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Playwright and Katalon.
• Execute automated test suites across different browsers and devices using BrowserStack.
• Perform API testing and automation using ReadyAPI (functional, regression, and negative test cases).
• Conduct performance and load testing using NeoLoad to evaluate system scalability and stability.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and report issues with detailed reproduction steps.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements and test strategy.
• Participate in review of requirements, test scenarios, test cases, and automation scripts.
• Maintain test documentation including test plans, test cases, automation reports, and defect metrics.
• Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests where applicable.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, test coverage, and best testing practices.
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4–5 years of experience in Software Testing with a balance of manual and automation testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Playwright (test automation for web applications)
• Katalon Studio
• ReadyAPI for API testing
• NeoLoad for performance testing
• BrowserStack for cross-browser and cross-device testing
• Good understanding of test automation frameworks, test design patterns, and best practices.
• Experience in API testing, including validation of requests/responses and error handling.
• Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and work independently.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
  

Good to Have

• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• Knowledge of performance tuning and monitoring concepts.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodology.
• ISTQB or equivalent testing certification.
  
  

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
