Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Manager-Production to oversee and optimize Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) manufacturing processes at our facility. This role involves ensuring efficient production, quality compliance, and adherence to safety standards.

Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Manager-Production to oversee and optimize Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) manufacturing processes at our facility. This role involves ensuring efficient production, quality compliance, and adherence to safety standards.

Job Responsibilities:**

  • Lead and supervise a team of production operators and technicians, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Plan, organize, and monitor daily API production schedules to meet targets and deadlines, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
  • Implement and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant regulatory guidelines throughout the production process.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for process improvement, efficiency gains, and cost reduction.
  • Participate in the development and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and batch records.
  • Ensure all production activities comply with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Supply Chain departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide training, and support the professional development of team members.
  • Prepare and present production reports to management, highlighting key metrics and achievements.

Job Qualifications:**

  • Bachelors degree in Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
  • 5-8 years of experience in API manufacturing, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of cGMP, EHS regulations, and other relevant pharmaceutical industry standards.
  • Proven experience in managing production processes, including batch manufacturing, purification, and drying.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using manufacturing execution systems (MES) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment.
