Upland is seeking to fill a full-time Technical Writer position to write for two of our products: Adestra and Audiences. We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter with 3-5 years of technical writing experience.
Were searching for someone with outstanding writing, editing, and publishing skills. You should have a strong technical background and be able to work well with cross-functional teams.
As the Technical Writer, youll need to ensure that all technical documentation is clear, consistent, and accurate. Its also important that youre able to communicate complex technical information to a wide range of audiences.

What would you do?
Write, edit, manage, and deliver product documentation, including online help, product launch content, and release notes.
Work closely with Product Management, Development, UX, and other SMEs to verify the accuracy of the documentation and gather information on new features and updates.
Produce quarterly and on-demand analytics reports and present any significant findings.
Work with other Technical Writers and the Upland Documentation Manager to ensure documentation meets Upland documentation standards.
Assist other Technical Writers with projects as needed.
What are we looking for?
3-5 years of experience in writing software-based product documentation.
3- 5 years of experience using Madcap Flare, or other single-source authoring systems.
A Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent qualification, in a related subject.
Familiarity with Microsoft Manual of Style and technical writing standards.
Strong command of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
Experience translating complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand, accurate, and concise user documentation.
Working knowledge of CSS, HTML, and XML.
Experience using Git & Bitbucket.
Experience using Jira & Confluence.
Experience using Google Analytics or other data analytics tools to validate or contribute to decision-making.
Experience collaborating using Miro.
Demonstrated interest in learning new technologies and the initiative to self-teach.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and cooperatively as a team.
Excellent flexibility and change management skills.
Some experience with coding, analytics, video editing, or other technical skills would be an asset.
Expectations
You must complete a technical writing assessment to be considered for this opportunity.
This role requires overlap with multiple time zones for planning meetings, status updates etc. on a regular basis. The duration of these overlaps can change depending on the type of meeting.
