Job Description

We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager to lead a team and drive sales of Rayner ophthalmic products in the assigned territory. Responsibilities include achieving sales targets, increasing market share, managing customer and distributor relationships, executing sales strategies, and ensuring timely reporting. The role also involves mentoring the team, organizing marketing activities, supporting KOL development, and staying updated on industry trends.


What Youll Be Doing:

  • Manage the team of business managers within the assigned territory to drive Rayner products sale.
  • Scientific Sales of Rayner products to the ophthalmologist in Private practice, Teaching Institute, Charitable Hospital. Chain Hospital and Govt run Hospitals.
  • Accountable for achieving agreed Commercial targets as per the targeted product Mix.
  • Increase Awareness, Sales, and Market share of premium products of Rayner portfolio.
  • Implement activities like customer events, marketing campaigns, sales presentations necessary to achieve agreed objectives.
  • Design sales strategy for the development of the assigned region.
  • Maintain both customer and channel partner satisfactory relationship for healthy business growth.
  • Maintain credit control of the territory and ensure the payment within the company norms.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely completion of all reports.
  • Maintain the necessary inventory with the distributors in each territory.
  • To work as mentor and help the team members to achieve of the commercial goal.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with the sales team to ensure activity and objectives fall in line with the respective sales targets
  • Work in coordination with the marketing Team to develop the KOL.
  • Keep up to date with new/current products, competitor products, clinical data, and be a “technical expert” in the cataract and refractive market segment
  • Attend congresses / exhibitions and build client relationships to leverage business opportunities
  • Support and organize quarterly Sales Meetings in conjunction with the India Sales Director


What Experience & Skills You Will Need:

Essential:

  • Graduate, preferably with a background in Science or Engineering (B.E).
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Pharma, Surgical, or Medical Device product sales.
  • Proven track record in science-based selling with consistent achievement of sales targets.
  • Experience in managing teams and driving regional sales growth.
  • Established network and doctor connections within the assigned territory.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluency in English, Hindi, and the local state language.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Desirable:
  • MBA in Marketing or related field.
  • Prior sales experience specifically in the Ophthalmic Medical Devices industry.
  • Experience in Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement and territory-based marketing activities.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and sales reporting platforms.
