The Storage Administrator – Associate is responsible for day-to-day operational support of enterprise storage services in an outsourced / managed services model. The role focuses on creating and managing file shares, applying quotas and permissions, supporting data migrations and cutovers, provisioning block (SAN) storage and S3/object storage, and executing standard changes and incident tasks in line with defined runbooks. Working with senior team members and other infrastructure teams, this role helps ensure storage services remain stable, secure, and performant for business applications.

Core Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain file shares, quotas, and permissions in line with standards.
  • Support file, block, and object storage provisioning using approved runbooks.
  • Assist with storage migrations and cutovers, including validation and documentation.
  • Monitor incidents and alerts, perform basic troubleshooting, and escalate as needed.
  • Execute standard change requests and keep configuration and CMDB records updated.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and vendor teams for issue resolution.

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelors

Degree Preferred: Bachelors in science, Computer Science, Engineering

Minimum Years of Experience: 2-4 year(s)

Certifications Required: None

Certifications Preferred

  • ITIL® Foundation (IT Service Management).
  • Entry-level or associate-level storage/vendor certifications (e.g., Dell EMC, Pure Storage, NetApp, or equivalent).
  • Cloud certifications with storage components (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Associate-level, Azure Fundamentals/Administrator).
