Chartered Accountant

About the Role

Morphogenesis Engineering Consultants LLP is looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant to lead finance, project accounting, and compliance functions for its Turnkey Project Business. The role involves managing project financials, budgeting, cost monitoring, statutory compliance, and financial reporting while leading a finance team and supporting management in strategic financial planning.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in project accounting, financial planning, MIS reporting, and taxation, along with the ability to manage and guide the finance team.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Accounting

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure proper maintenance of books of accounts.
  
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual book closure process.
  
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports.
  
• Ensure accuracy of accounts payable, receivable, and vendor reconciliations.
  
  

Project Accounting & Cost Control

• Maintain project-wise accounting and profitability analysis for turnkey projects.
  
• Monitor project budgets, cost allocations, and project margins.
  
• Track project billing milestones and revenue recognition.
  
• Coordinate with project managers to review project financial performance and cost efficiency.
  
  

Budgeting & Financial Planning

• Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts for projects and overall business operations.
  
• Monitor budget vs actual performance and provide variance analysis.
  
• Assist leadership in financial modelling and strategic planning.
  
  

MIS & Management Reporting

• Prepare monthly MIS reports, dashboards, and financial insights for management.
  
• Analyze profitability, cost optimization, and operational efficiencies.
  
• Support preparation of management presentations and financial reports.
  
  

Compliance & Taxation

• Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, TDS, and other statutory regulations.
  
• Manage tax filings, returns, and assessments.
  
• Coordinate with statutory auditors.
  
  

Treasury & Cash Flow Management

• Manage cash flow planning and working capital requirements.
  
• Monitor project-wise cash inflows and outflows.
  
• Coordinate with banks for banking transactions and financial facilities.
  
  

Audit & Internal Controls

• Lead internal and statutory audit processes.
  
• Ensure strong financial controls and compliance frameworks.
  
• Identify financial risks and implement process improvements.
  
  

Team Leadership & Management

• Lead and supervise the accounts and finance team.
  
• Allocate work, monitor performance, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  
• Review accounting entries, reconciliations, and financial reports prepared by team members.
  
• Guide and train team members on accounting standards, compliance requirements, and financial processes.
  
• Ensure coordination between finance, project, and operations teams.
  
• Drive process improvements and automation within the finance function.
  

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
  
• 4–7 years of experience in accounting, finance, or project-based businesses preferred.
  
• Strong understanding of project accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and taxation.
  
• Experience in GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
  
• Proficiency in Advanced Excel, MIS reporting, and financial analysis.
  
• Experience with Tally / accounting software preferred.
  
• Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
  
• Experience in turnkey projects, infrastructure, architecture, consulting, or service-based organizations. will be preferred.
  
• Exposure to multi-project financial management.
  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
