Ahmedabad University BagchiSchool Of Public Health Led By Professor Kaumudi Joshipura Is Seeking Faculty (open Rank) With a PhD Or Equivalent Degree (e.g. DrPH, ScD) In One Of The Following Focus Areas That Are Aligned With Its Initial Priorities

• Environmental health (focus on climate change, and water quality)
• Epidemiology (focus on cardio-metabolic diseases, mental health and/or environment); a medical or paramedical background is highly desirable; MD is a plus but not a substitute for PhD
• Applied Biostatistics
• Data Science / Artificial Intelligence with health and/or environment related interests.
  
  

Successful candidates are expected to have a strong teaching and publication track record; experience in curriculum and course development is highly desirable. Faculty are expected to teach, engage in interdisciplinary research, apply for external funding for their research, advise students, and contribute to translating research into action.

Requirements

• Minimum one year of experience, publications, including first-author publications in reputed journals, and some pertinent teaching experience.
• Proven track record of procuring external funds will be preferred, especially at Associate and Full Professor levels.
• Ability to promote interdisciplinary research and contribute to translating research into action would be a plus.
