To meet the growth and scale of the ROC teams around the globe, the ROC Training team is looking to hire a Training Specialist. If you have strong organizational skills, can work independently and make good decisions in a rapidly growing business, then we’d like to speak with you. You will be the face of our enablement team welcoming all new hires to ROC and managing stakeholders globally.

You will coordinate a set of highly strategic initiatives and training programs focused on building the process & leadership capability. The successful candidate should be an experienced project manager with a passion for training and management. You will be able to not only coordinate these programs but also act as the producer for some of our most foundational programs.

Key job responsibilities

• Schedule training sessions for the India region, as well as remote instructor led trainings. This includes arranging logistics in onsite training venues, coordinating instructors and managing classes in our learning management systems.
• Liaise with attendees to accept their training requests, confirm bookings and manage cancellations/changes.
• Provide our management with information as required (e.g. forecasts, scheduling, instructor workload, course evaluation summaries, etc.).
• Liaise with global operations team to learn of updates to process and implement process changes, including attendee facing and internal changes.
• Setup "Train the Trainer" program to train Training Ambassadors and setup their R&R to ensure smooth training delivery, maintaining daily trainer reports, RAG status of NH during classroom training
• Partner with training facilitators and others to manage all operations and logistics requests regarding training courses.
• Production- Co facilitation of remote instructor technical support in class (can’t hear, can’t see) some in class presentation, “Keep the train running” (keep sessions on time), orchestrate guest speakers, etc.
• Administrator for our learning management system, SIM, video conference licenses, etc.
• Partner with operation team to setup learning curve metrics, their progressive goals, identify insights who are not meeting goals and understand path to green from ops
  
  

About The Team

ROC Overview

Relay Operations Center (ROC) is the central command and control center for ‘Transportation Execution’ across the Amazon Supply Chain network supporting multiple geographies like NA, India and EU. It ensures hassle free, timely pick-up and delivery of freight from vendors to Amazon facilities and to carrier hubs. In case of any exceptions, ROC steps in to resolve the issue and keeps all the stakeholders informed on the proceedings.

In addition to this tactical problem solving, ROC is also charged with understanding trends in network exceptions and then automating processes or proposing process changes to streamline operations. This second aspect involves network monitoring and significant analysis of network data.

Overall, ROC plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of Amazon transportation and thereby has a direct impact on Amazon’s ability to serve its customers on time.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent
• Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
• 3+ years of training domain experience
• Excellent communications skills including, presenting, editing, and writing, as well as accuracy and attention to detail required
• Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and basic SQL
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
• Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
• Experience handling confidential information and maintaining professionalism in dealing with senior executives, or experience completing complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance and react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround
• Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines, or experience with end-to-end project management
• Knowledge of adult learning principles
• A fast-thinking, high-energy individual with ability to work with a wide range of personalities will thrive in this role
