Overview

The position is intended for candidates graduating in 2026, who have no active academic backlogs and have not held full‑time employment prior to the apprenticeship. Candidates who have previously completed an apprenticeship must maintain a mandatory gap of 365 days before starting a new apprenticeship.

As a Technology Consultant Apprentice, you will establish and build data management solutions based on business and analytical requirements to integrate, govern, transform, and store data across distributed Azure cloud services, databases, and other applicable storage systems. You will leverage your understanding of Azure services, data governance principles, and analytics platforms to ensure high-quality, secure, and reliable data pipelines and workflows. This includes working with Azure Purview for data governance, Azure Fabric for unified analytics, and Power BI for business intelligence to deliver actionable insights and cutting-edge data solutions.

You will work on real-world scenarios involving data management, governance, and analytics. You will utilize Azure tools such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Purview, Power BI, and Azure Data Lake Storage. You will also apply your knowledge to establish data governance frameworks, optimize data workflows for reporting, and design scalable architectures for analytics across structured and unstructured data. Your responsibilities include ensuring data accuracy, compliance with security standards, and building models and dashboards that empower decision-making at scale.

As a Technology Consultant Apprentice, you will also explore and integrate AI tools like co-pilots to enhance productivity and accelerate the delivery of high-quality data solutions.

Responsibilities

Perform Data Governance and Integration

• Implement data governance frameworks using tools like Azure Purview to ensure data consistency, compliance, and security.
• Integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring accurate and efficient data consolidation for analytics purposes.
• Work with various data formats (e.g., JSON, CSV, XML) and ensure compatibility with analytical tools.
  
  

Design and Build Analytical Solutions

• Develop and maintain data models and reporting solutions to support business analytics use cases.
• Create schemas and metadata for effective organization and discovery of data across storage systems.
• Apply data modeling techniques (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema) to design optimal structures for business intelligence and reporting.
  
  

Optimize and Manage Data Workflows

• Analyze and resolve data governance and quality issues, ensuring reliability in analytics workflows.
• Optimize data flows for reporting, including implementing caching, indexing, and partitioning strategies.
• Implement role-based access controls (RBAC) and security measures to protect sensitive information.
  
  

Implement and Validate Analytical Dashboards

• Design and implement interactive dashboards using tools like Power BI to provide real-time insights.
• Validate data accuracy in visualizations by ensuring consistency with source systems.
• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends and insights for stakeholders.
  
  

Collaborate and Communicate Insights

• Work closely with stakeholders to understand analytical requirements and deliver actionable insights.
• Document data flows, models, and dashboard features to ensure transparency and ease of use.
• Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences using visual storytelling.
  
  

Manage and Maintain Data Assets

• Ensure the accuracy and availability of data by monitoring storage systems and analytical pipelines.
• Write, debug, and optimize SQL queries for analytics and reporting tasks.
• Create and maintain reusable datasets, reports, and templates to streamline analytical workflows.
  
  

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business, or related field
• Strong understanding of data management principles, including governance, integration, and security.
• Basic knowledge of data visualization and analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with data management and analytics tools like Azure Purview, Power BI, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data modeling concepts (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema).
• Exposure to handling various data formats like JSON, CSV, and XML for analytics and reporting.
• Leveraging AI tools like co-pilots to enhance efficiency and innovation in your projects.
• Knowledge of data governance practices, including metadata management and role-based access controls (RBAC).
• Ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and document data workflows and analytical pipelines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
