TSMS Business Transformation Lead – Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)

Manufacturing and Quality Technical Hub Hyderabad

Lilly has made a strategic investment of more than $1B dollars to establish a Manufacturing and Quality technical hub. This hub will oversee the significant investment in contract manufacturing of starting materials and intermediates for API manufacturing in India and the technical services responsible for managing the scientific agenda for manufacturing and quality. The hub will be recruiting top talent in the areas of process engineering, chemistry, analytical and data sciences to build a cutting-edge scientific organization supporting the exciting manufacturing portfolio of Lilly.

Job Description

Role Overview:

The Business Transformation Lead (PLM) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing business transformation initiatives related to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) across pharmaceutical R&D, manufacturing, and quality domains. This role ensures successful deployment and adoption of PLM systems (such as QbDVision), supports process harmonization, and drives operational excellence by partnering with global teams, site SMEs, and IT/digital functions. The Lead will manage project delivery, facilitate change management, and ensure alignment with regulatory and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead PLM deployment project management, including planning, tracking (scope, schedule, risks), reporting, and coordination across global and site teams
  • Facilitate Project management calls (e.g., site leadership check-ins, core team meetings) and ensure milestone delivery
  • Develop playbooks, templates, and best practice documentation; contribute to lessons learned reviews
  • Support site impact assessments, including change control, SOP/protocol updates, and business process documentation
  • Track and report deployment progress, risks, and issues to leadership and stakeholders
  • Manage stakeholder relationships across PLM Global, TSMS, site SMEs, and external partners
  • Support governance processes: decision tracking, meeting facilitation, and issue escalation
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory timelines, data integrity, and business priorities
  • Coordinate cross-functional delivery with QA, CMC, Regulatory, IT, and others
  • Lead or support change management activities: impact assessments, communications, training coordination
  • Partner with Training Coordinators and Deployment Leads for onboarding and upskilling
  • Monitor adoption KPIs, gather user feedback, and drive continuous improvement
  • Author and maintain deployment protocols and reports, SOPs, work instructions, and user guides
  • Collaborate with technical teams to resolve data gaps, inconsistencies, and support validation
  • Leverage reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, PLM dashboards) for insights and tracking
  • Maintain feature request processes, SharePoint sites, and knowledge repositories
  • Identify and implement process improvements for deployment and transformation initiatives


Required Skills And Experience

Technical and Functional Skills:

  • Skilled in project planning, tracking, reporting, and governance support
  • Experienced in stakeholder management and pharma compliance
  • Highly skilled in meeting facilitation, decision tracking, documentation, and report writing
  • Knowledgeable in regulatory timelines and document reviews
  • Understands CMC product lifecycle, PLM data structures and workflows
  • Familiar with PLM systems, MS Project, Smartsheet, Power BI, and Tableau
  • Change-oriented, analytical, detail-focused, and proactive
  • Strong communicator with global team experience preferred


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Business, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project/program management, business transformation, or digital deployment in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
  • Understanding of pharma R&D, CMC, or manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with PLM systems (QbDVision or similar) desirable.
