Key job responsibilities

Basic Qualifications

Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure

Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust

Experience with Linux/Unix

Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes.

Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to junior engineers and team members

A day in the life

As a Systems Development Engineer, your daily activities might include:

Design And Development

• Designing and developing software applications, systems, or tools
• Writing, testing, and debugging code in various programming languages
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
  
  

Testing And Troubleshooting

• Conducting unit testing, integration testing, and system testing
• Identifying and resolving technical issues, bugs, and defects
• Troubleshooting system problems and implementing fixes
  
  

Collaboration And Communication

• Working with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand project needs
• Communicating technical information to non-technical stakeholders
• Collaborating with QA engineers, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
  
  

Maintenance And Optimization

• Maintaining and updating existing systems, applications, and infrastructure
• Optimizing system performance, scalability, and reliability
• Implementing security measures and ensuring compliance with industry standards
  
  

Documentation And Knowledge Sharing

• Documenting technical designs, code, and system architecture
• Sharing knowledge and best practices with colleagues and team members
• Maintaining technical documentation and knowledge bases
  
  

Other Activities

• Participating in code reviews and contributing to the improvement of the codebase
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and methodologies
• Attending meetings, conferences, and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
