Job Description

Role Summary

The Supply Chain Manager – After Market will be responsible for managing the end-to-end After Market supply chain process, including demand coordination, inventory planning, allocation, fulfillment, logistics follow-up, warranty support, and service-parts availability.

This role will ensure that After Market and Warranty requirements are planned, executed, tracked, and escalated with clear ownership and measurable performance. The position will work closely with Service Sales, Asset Management, Logistics, Warehouse Operations, Sourcing, Quality, Product, Finance, and regional Supply Chain teams to improve service reliability, inventory control, and operational execution.

The role requires strong operational discipline, hands-on supply chain management, analytical capability, and the ability to convert business needs into clear actions, KPIs, and process improvements. While the position is primarily execution-focused, it will also support the development of a more scalable After Market operating model as the business grows and new product lines are introduced.

Key Responsibilities

After Market Supply Chain Execution

  • Manage the end-to-end After Market supply chain flow from demand intake through allocation, fulfillment, shipment tracking, and delivery confirmation.
  • Ensure After Market and Warranty orders are monitored proactively and delivered in line with agreed service expectations.
  • Maintain visibility of open demand, blocked orders, aging lines, inventory availability, supplier constraints, and logistics risks.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally to resolve execution issues across planning, warehouse operations, logistics, sourcing, and service teams.
  • Escalate blockers early with clear facts, business impact, options, and recommended actions.

Demand Planning and Inventory Control

  • Support the After Market demand-planning process using historical consumption, warranty demand, installed base information, customer/service inputs, and forecast assumptions.
  • Maintain a rolling view of demand by key part families and critical service items.
  • Separate confirmed demand from forecast or potential demand to avoid creating unnecessary inventory exposure.
  • Review inventory health, including stock availability, inventory turns, coverage, slow-moving items, excess stock, and obsolete-risk items.
  • Recommend actions to consume, rebalance, transfer, hold, replenish, or escalate inventory based on business need and service risk.
  • Support inventory policy decisions such as make-to-stock vs make-to-order, safety stock, reorder logic, and preferred stocking locations.

Fulfillment and Logistics Coordination

  • Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely picking, packing, shipping, and delivery of After Market and Warranty orders.
  • Track shipment status and ensure visibility of road freight, last-mile delivery, freight-forwarder updates, and delivery confirmation.
  • Identify root causes of service delays, including allocation gaps, warehouse execution, transportation delays, customer readiness, supplier issues, or system constraints.
  • Work with Logistics and Warehouse Operations to improve fulfillment lead time, shipment reliability, and cost visibility.

KPI Management and Operating Rhythm

  • Prepare and manage regular After Market performance reviews, including service performance, backlog, aging orders, inventory health, open risks, and action closure.
  • Track key KPIs such as on-time delivery, order aging, days to allocate, days to ship, days to deliver, backlog, inventory coverage, forecast accuracy, and root cause of service misses.
  • Use reporting tools such as ERP, planning systems, Power BI, Excel, or equivalent dashboards to support decision-making.
  • Where system reporting is incomplete, maintain practical interim controls while supporting process and data improvements.

Warranty, RMA/VRA and Reverse Logistics Coordination

  • Coordinate with the teams responsible for warranty returns, RMA, VRA, and reverse logistics to ensure visibility of open cases and inventory impact.
  • Support clear handoffs between After Market planning, warehouse operations, logistics, finance, procurement, and service teams.
  • Help reduce aging records and unresolved cases by ensuring actions, owners, and blockers are clearly tracked.
  • Ensure reverse logistics decisions consider value, cost, service impact, inspection, repacking, refurbishment, scrap, vendor return, or storage requirements.

Process Improvement and Business Growth Support

  • Identify recurring process gaps and drive practical improvements in planning, fulfillment, logistics follow-up, and inventory control.
  • Support the standardization of After Market operating processes across regions.
  • Contribute to the preparation of After Market supply chain readiness for new product lines and future service requirements.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, service orientation, data-driven decisions, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in supply chain, after market, service parts, logistics, inventory planning, warranty fulfillment, or operations.
  • Experience managing end-to-end order fulfillment, inventory planning, allocation, logistics coordination, and cross-functional issue resolution.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, demand planning, service levels, lead times, stock coverage, slow-moving inventory, and replenishment logic.
  • Experience with ERP, planning, warehouse, or reporting systems such as NetSuite, Anaplan, Power BI, Excel, WMS, or equivalent tools.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, global environment with multiple priorities and time zones.
  • Experience in renewable energy, industrial equipment, project-based supply chain, warranty, or spare-parts environments is preferred.

Key Competencies

  • End-to-end ownership and follow-through.
  • Strong operational discipline and urgency.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and structure open issues.
  • Data-driven decision-making.
  • Cross-functional collaboration.
  • Practical process-improvement mindset.
  • Clear and fact-based escalation.
  • Customer and service mindset balanced with cost and inventory discipline.
