Staff Technical Lead - Backend

The Connectivity teams develop, maintain and enhance LiveRamps Authentication Traffic Solution (ATS). ATS allows publishers to match consented user data with a RampID in real-time, enabling people-based advertising on authenticated, cookieless inventory across the open internet. Your team will be responsible for providing the web platform that allows users to configure and deploy multiple technical components that enable the ATS ecosystem.

We use AWS to deploy our solutions, the technologies we use are:

• AWS Lambda
• AWS API Gateway
• AWS Glue
• JAVA & Node.js
• Typescript

• Design and implement RESTful APIs to support the user interface.
• Design how AWS SaaS services (API Gateway, Kubernetes, Lambda, etc) will be used to host our platform.
• Work with Product Management to create scalable high quality designs to solve our customers problems.
• Help grow and nurture your fellow engineers as they tackle challenging problems.
• Continuously improve the reliability and maintainability of our systems.
• Treat infrastructure as code, leveraging tools like AWS Lambdas, AWS CloudFormation, and Terraform.
  
  

• Deliver the Console platform globally, enabling customers to customize and deploy multiple core components of our ATS offering.
• Develop mainly in JAVA & JavaScript (specifically TypeScript & Node.js) and partly in Python. We will use new technologies and languages if they help us better solve a problem.
• Serve both internal and external clients with high availability SLAs.
• Follow a Scrum methodology.
  
  

• Have 8+ years of experience writing and deploying high performance production code.
• Have 5+ years of experience designing and implementing cloud-based RESTful APIs and infrastructure.
• Expert with Java & JavaScript for backend API use cases.
• Proficient in JAVA, Node.js and SOA design.
• Have a passion for mentoring junior engineers, promoting engineering best practices to drive high quality systems, including evaluating and adapting to the latest tools and industry best practices.
• Have a product-oriented mindset: you like offering technical solutions to business problems, teasing apart complex problems into their essential components, designing and implementing elegant solutions for them.
• Enjoy working as part of a smart, ethical, friendly, hard-working, and productive team.
• Excellent communication skills.
  
  

• Experience with AWS Services such as EKS (Amazon Elastic Kubernetes), Lambdas, API Gateway, Incognito, DynamoDB, Glue.
• Experience with TypeScript
• Experience with CDN systems for low latency delivery of JavaScript packages.
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Docker, Terraform.
• Experience with Angular.js.
