As a Senior/Staff Engineer NAND Product Development-CAD at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for providing CAD support to the NVE Product Engineering Teams.  You will be in a unique position to work closely with Design Engineering teams and Technology Development teams.  Through heavy collaboration, you will ensure that there is alignment between the team’s tools and environments for improved efficiency and effectiveness.  You will actively develop automation methodologies supporting Tapeout flows and Simulation tools.  You will be responsible for custom tool development focused on Design, Physical Verification, Simulation and related flows and environments needed to support them for Product Engineering and Partner Organizations.  You will own the Product Engineering Design Environment setup and support.  You will provide training and support for new engineers, deliver instruction and assist with debug for Product Engineering and related partners. 

Responsibilities And Tasks

NVE PE CAD Tool Development and Support

  • Responsible for custom tool development support Product Engineering focused on Design, Physical Verification, Simulation enablement and improvements.
  • Accountable for M-Files development and support. 
  • Work with and participate in MaskTech Tool Development activities to ensure alignment and to utilize TD MaskTech resources as necessary. 
  • Responsible for tapeout Automation, supporting DBD (PE) interests and collaborating with Micron wide teams to ensure alignment with partner systems and flows and to enable any automation developed for PE to be utilized globally.
  • Develop and maintain metrics system to monitor PE DBD effectiveness and efficiency. 

Flash Design Environment (FDE) Support

  • Own and support PE environments for all sites.
  • Responsible for Design Project setup for Boise, Singapore and India PE Sites.  Manage PE and TD Project Access for NVE. 
  • Work closely with Design Teams to stay aligned between PE owned and DE owned environments.  Share solutions and collaborate on changes.
  • Work with DE/PE Teams to provide Perforce, SVN and Design Sync support including permission management and architecture.

PE and TD Physical Verification Support and Automation

  • Work closely with Product Engineering Teams, Technology Development teams to develop custom Physical Verification methods. 
  • Develop, own and support Physical Verification automation for PE and utilized by partner organizations such as TD (e.g. Scribe, Gen Develop) and DE

Education

  • This position requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering etc. with at least 5 years of industry experience.
  • Course work in VLSI, semiconductor process, and semiconductor device physics
