The Creative Designer will work closely with the Digital Marketing and Creative Services leader along with the wider Global Marketing team to build and uphold GE Vernova Grid Software’s strong visual brand through both digital and print production.
Job Description
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Creative Design, Development & Execution
Own the end-to-end creative process - from initial concept and visual strategy through execution and delivery, ensuring design excellence, brand integrity, and a high standard of craft across all outputs.
Lead the development of visually impactful design assets including reports, whitepapers, eBooks, collateral, presentations, infographics, advertisements, event branding, social media assets, and digital/web graphics.
Conceptualize and build creative themes for events and campaigns, ensuring all deliverables, presentations, banners, booth designs, videos, signage, social teasers, etc. are visually cohesive, on-brand, and strategically aligned.
Act as the brand custodian, maintaining and elevating the design system, visual identity, templates, and brand guidelines across mediums and teams.
Develop high-visibility executive presentations and communication materials with strong visual storytelling, clarity, and strategic narrative alignment.
Translate creative concepts across multiple mediums including print, digital, website, email, video, and social channels, ensuring consistency and adaptability.
Drive conceptual thinking for marketing campaigns by proposing fresh visual ideas, mood boards, creative directions, and storyboards that reinforce the brand purpose and resonate with target audiences.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams - marketing, communications, product, events, ABM and leadership to align creative solutions with business priorities and strategic goals.
Project-manage all design requests by scoping intake management, estimating timelines, prioritizing workload, tracking progress, and ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery.
Provide creative guidance and mentorship to designers and agency partners; review work and offer actionable feedback that improves design quality and alignment.
Support website and digital experience enhancements, contributing to redesign initiatives, layout improvements, landing pages, and UX-driven visual updates.
Create engaging visuals for digital marketing including email campaigns, social promotions, event announcements, webinar materials, ads, and paid media placements.
Maintain an organized repository of design assets, ensuring proper version control, accessibility, and naming conventions.
Stay updated on design trends, tools, technologies, and best practices to bring innovative ideas and forward-thinking design approaches to the team.
Operate as a proactive self-starter, capable of independently transforming abstract ideas into compelling creative outputs with minimal oversight.
Event-Focused Design And Responsibilities
Conceptualize and design creative assets for events, including booth layouts, wall graphics, kiosks, banners, backdrops, print materials, and digital screens.
Develop supporting event collateral such as tent cards, brochures, flyers, merchandise (e.g., t-shirts, giveaways), and other branded materials.
Ensure all designs adhere to correct sizes, scaling, and production-ready formats for vendors and event partners.
Collaborate with event marketing, production, and vendor teams to bring designs to life across physical and digital touchpoints.
Deliver impactful, on-brand experiences that maximize audience engagement and strengthen brand presence at events.
Research & Innovation
Conduct design research and stay updated on industry trends, competitor visuals, and design best practices to ensure fresh, modern, and impactful creative output.
Provide insights and recommendations that elevate the brand’s presence across digital and offline channels.
Video Support Responsibilities
Strong hands-on experience in editing webinars and virtual event recordings to create engaging, concise content for reuse.
Ability to craft compelling short-format videos and animated videos such as sizzle reels, social media snippets, case study highlights, and report teasers.
Skilled at producing event highlight/recap videos that capture key moments and storytelling elements.
Familiarity with optimizing video content for multiple channels and formats (social, digital campaigns, presentations).
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in graphic design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent) with 8+ years of professional experience.
Marketing background is a must, with proven experience supporting campaigns, branding, and client-facing materials.
Strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative work.
Strong grasp of design principles with excellent aesthetic, typography, and attention to detail.
Able to work independently and collaboratively, with a proactive, self-starter mindset.
Passionate about visual storytelling and creative problem solving.
Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure.
Required Skills
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Figma, and Microsoft PowerPoint/Word, with familiarity in leveraging AI-driven design tools and platforms to enhance creativity and efficiency.
Skilled in Adobe After Effects and/or Premiere Pro for creating animated and non-animated videos.
Knowledge of print production, digital design best practices, and preparing files for various formats and platforms (web, social, events, and collateral) is a plus
Good To Have
Knowledge of Gen AI design tools, Excel, project management tools
Proven experience in developing brand positioning, messaging architecture, and integrated campaign strategies.
