Summary

As a Sr. Specialist DDIT OPS Supply Chain Business Analysis, you will engage with Supply Chain Business Process Owners and develop business requirements and deliver data driven recommendations to improve efficiency and add value to the business. You will partner with our team members to deliver business value, assist them in clearing impediments in consideration of Sprint commitments, provide Supply Chain processes training for our team to meet delivery and continuous improvement goals. You will also work with Project teams, Project Managers, Solution Design and Business Stakeholders to ensure we have a detailed understanding of the backlog as well as facilitating our team to interact and collaborate optimally with other teams in their projects.

About The Role

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Participate and perform the following role in Novartis, related to end-to-end business processes using Kinaxis platform:
  • Understand the Complete Architecture of various tracks in Maestro and their corresponding upstream and downstream systems.
  • Facilitate PM team in effective effort estimation and scoping of the projects considering upstream and downstream dependencies.
  • Actively participate in Functional refinements with Process Owners/Architects/Business and provide inputs.
  • Prepare Functional Design and Test Plan documents in collaboration with Process Owners/Architects/Business for Continuous Improvements(Enhancements) items and new implementations.
  • Drive Technical Refinements and liaising with developers on the solution.
  • Constant feedback loop between various Stakeholders & Developers for feature development 
  • Support developers with implementation, integration, configuration and customization.
  • Validate the solution and provide feedback to the developer before it goes for UAT.
  • Actively Participate in all Sprint ceremonies.
  • Understand Master Data completely, thereby all SC process and involve in various transformational programs that happens at Enterprise level to understand Maestro Impact 
  • Time and again analyze current systems and propose improvements in PS/DIS processes or other integrations
  • Look ways to implement business processes with Kinaxis standard out of box features
  • Discover Customer Business Challenges and create Unique Solution Prototypes
  • Involve in POC or any other complex development
  • Ensure proper coding and data model standards are followed by team
  • Documentation ownership of processes across different tracks
  • Train new joiners in the system and help them come up to speed on the business processes

Skills

  • Experience working with Cloud/SaaS applications. 7 years in a Business or equivalent IT functional role, preferably in Supply Chain Planning area
  • 4-5 years using Kinaxis Maestro, namely in Authoring & Analytics
  • Working experience in Pharma Industry is preferred.
  • Experience working with Cloud/SaaS applications.
  • Thorough understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) including business requirements definition/process/design, review of functional specifications, development of test plans, testing, user testing, user training, and eventual deployment (software release).
  • Understanding of how to perform software system modifications whether break/fix, enhancements, or implementation of new functionality.
  • Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodology and practices, preferably in a software release planning & execution environment.
  • Ability to perform in-depth systems design reviews and provide refined functional and/or technical specifications for modification work, resolve break/fix issues, system enhancements, or new (functional) implementations.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to maintain productive relationships with business teams and users who use the Maestro system.
  • Strategic and analytical thinker.
  • Problem solver, timely decision maker.
  • Capability to operate in a fast-paced and complex industry.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills - oral and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Education

  • MBA (Pref. Supply Chain) or Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent 

Certifications

  • Kinaxis Functional and Author Level 2/Level 3 certifications
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP
