Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and optimize data ingestion and transformation pipelines on Snowflake
  • Implement Bronze / Silver / Gold data layers aligned with architectural standards
  • Develop scalable ELT frameworks for batch and near–real-time ingestion using SnapLogic or similar ETL tools
  • Optimize Snowflake performance and cost (clustering, warehouse sizing, query tuning)
  • Implement data quality (DQ) checks, validation rules, and exception handling
  • Review designs, code, and performance tuning approaches
  • Enforce engineering best practices, coding standards, and documentation
  • Collaborate closely with onshore architects and stakeholders to clarify requirements
  • Support effort estimation, sprint planning, and delivery commitments
  • Translate discovery and architecture outputs into implementable designs
  • Support UAT, production deployment, and post-go-live stabilization
  • Proactively identify risks, performance issues, and improvement opportunities

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 2 years in a lead role
  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake:
  • Data modeling and transformations
  • Performance and cost optimization
  • Security and role-based access controls
  • Strong SQL expertise and experience with ELT tools such as SnapLogic or similar tools
