Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

• We are seeking an experienced Azure Functions Developer with strong expertise in Python and Azure API Management (APIM) to design, develop, and maintain scalable, cloud-native solutions.
• The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with serverless architectures, RESTful APIs, and Azure integrations, along with a solid understanding of frontend technologies for seamless backend integration.
  
  

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain Azure Functions using Python to support business and application requirements.
• Configure, manage, and maintain Azure API Management (APIM), including:
• API creation and versioning
• Policies (security, throttling, transformations)
• Authentication and authorization configurations
• Integrate Azure Functions with other Azure services (e.g., Storage, Service Bus, Key Vault, App Insights) and third-party APIs.
• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs following best practices and standards.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues related to Azure Functions, APIM, and overall application performance.
• Utilize JavaScript and jQuery for frontend development and for integrating UI components with backend services.
• Analyze complex technical problems, propose effective solutions, and implement them within defined timelines.
• Collaborate closely with development, DevOps, and operations teams for deployment, monitoring, and optimization of Azure resources.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Ensure code quality, security, scalability, and performance best practices are followed.
  
  

• Strong experience (5+ years) in software development with a focus on Python.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Functions (Triggers, Bindings, Durable Functions).
• Proven experience with Azure API Management (APIM).
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation.
• Experience with JavaScript and jQuery for frontend and backend integration.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and source control systems (Git).
• Experience with application monitoring and logging (Azure Application Insights or similar tools).Understanding of security best practices for cloud and API-based applications.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills. Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with other Azure services such as Logic Apps, Event Grid, Service Bus, or Cosmos DB.
• Knowledge of microservices and serverless architectures.
• Exposure to containerization (Docker) is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of frontend frameworks or UI integration patterns.
• Experience working in enterprise-scale cloud environments.
