The Impact you will have in this role:

The Development family is responsible for creating, designing, deploying, and supporting applications, programs, and software solutions. May include research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, or any other activities related to software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. The software development process requires in-depth subject matter expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages. Software Developers work closely with business partners and / or external clients in defining requirements and implementing solutions. The Software Engineering role specializes in planning, documenting technical requirements, designing, developing, and testing all software systems and applications for the firm. Works closely with architects, product managers, project management, and end-users in the development and enhancement of existing software systems and applications, proposing and recommending solutions that solve complex business problems.

Your Primary Responsibilities:
 

  • Develop responsive and user-friendly UI using Angular
     
  • Build and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot and REST APIs
     
  • Design and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas, queries, and stored procedures
     
  • Integrate frontend components with backend services
     
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications on OpenShift in AWS cloud environment
     
  • Configure and maintain OpenShift deployments, services, and routing
     
  • Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues in containerized environments
     
  • Write clean, reusable and testable code
     
  • Participate in code reviews and follow best practices
     
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance
     
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
     
  • Work with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines for deployment automation
     
  • Manage database migrations and version control


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience
  • Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience

  • Spring Boot 3.5+, Spring MVC, Spring Security
     
  • Spring JPA/Hibernate 6.4+
     
  • RESTful web services
     
  • PostgreSQL database
     
  • Maven build tools
     
  • JWT authentication
     


Cloud & DevOps:

  • OpenShift container platform
     
  • AWS cloud services (RDS, EC2)
     
  • Docker containerization
     
  • Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
     
  • Git version control
