Job responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy high-quality software solutions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver business value
  • Apply engineering best practices throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient delivery
  • Develop and orchestrate containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Build and support micro-services architectures
  • Leverages enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity across complex deliverables (e.g., code generation/refactoring, unit test creation, documentation), while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards; contributes learnings and reusable patterns to improve broader team effectiveness.
  • Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation.
  • Write scripts in Bash and Python to automate tasks
  • Participate in Agile methodologies including Scrum and Test Driven Development
  • Continuously improve processes and contribute to team learning

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Expertise in Java or Python with 5 years of experience ad hands-on AWS Cloud experience
  • Experience deploying to and orchestrating containers (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines using Git, Artifactory, Jenkins, Docker registry
  • Experience with micro-services.
  • Strong in core Java, J2EE, Spring and Scripting skills in Bash and Python
  • Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, test creation, troubleshooting, or documentation) with demonstrated ability to critically evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; ability to guide peers on safe and effective usage within team practices.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Test Driven Development)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) and/or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
  • Experience with UNIX/LINUX
