Software Engineer II

JOB ROLE - SOFTWARE ENGINEER II

We are currently hiring for two Software Engineer II roles, each aligned to a distinct skill set. Candidates who meet the qualifications for either role are encouraged to apply.

Role Overview

As a Software Engineer II at GHX, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver high-quality software solutions. The role focuses on contributing across the product development lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on coding, design discussions, and building scalable, high-availability systems in an Agile environment.

Role 1: Backend Engineer (Java, AWS, Microservices)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, and Hibernate
• Build and maintain microservices and RESTful APIs with a focus on performance, security, and resilience
• Develop cloud-native applications using AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, SQS, API Gateway, and CloudWatch
• Optimize data layers using MongoDB, MySQL, and Elasticsearch
• Implement security best practices across application layers
• Leverage ELK stack for logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and CI/CD processes
• Support production systems, including on-call and incident resolution
  
  

Required Experience:

• 3–5 years of experience in Java and Spring-based development
• Strong experience with AWS services and microservices architecture
• Hands-on experience with databases like MongoDB and MySQL
• Experience building secure, high-availability, and fault-tolerant systems
  
  

Role 2: Frontend Engineer (Angular, AWS)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality front-end applications using Angular
• Build and integrate applications with AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, etc.)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready solutions
• Participate in Agile development, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines
• Ensure application scalability, performance, and security
• Support production environments, including troubleshooting and incident response
  
  

Required Experience:

• 3–5 years of experience in front-end development using Angular
• Strong understanding of AWS services and cloud-based application development
• Experience building scalable, secure, and high-availability applications
• Exposure to microservices, APIs, and distributed systems
  
  

Common Qualifications (Applicable to Both Roles):

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Strong understanding of software architecture and system design
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and collaboration skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
