Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Cloudera based Big Data ecosystems to design, develop, and maintain scalable data platforms

and pipelines. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience in big data

technologies, ETL development, and data warehousing, along with the ability to mentor

junior engineers and lead small technical initiatives.

This role requires 80% hands-on technical contribution and 20% leadership

responsibilities, including guiding team members, ensuring best practices, and

supporting delivery excellence.

Your future duties and responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using the Cloudera
  
  

ecosystem.

• Build and optimize big data processing frameworks using technologies such as
  
  

Hadoop, Spark, Hive, and Sqoop.

• Develop robust ETL/ELT pipelines to process and transform large-scale
  
  

structured and unstructured data.

• Perform data modelling, data transformation, and data warehousing design to
  
  

support analytics and reporting.

• Write efficient and optimized code using PySpark, Scala, SQL, and Java.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance standards across data
  
  

pipelines.

• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments using tools like Git,
  
  

Jenkins, and Bitbucket.

• Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows, pipelines, and production issues to
  
  

ensure high availability and performance.

• Work closely with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver
  
  

scalable data solutions.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data engineers.
• Support solution design discussions and technical decision-making.
• Review code, ensure adherence to data engineering best practices, and maintain
  
  

development standards.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of data initiatives.
