The Impact You Will Have In This Role

The Development family is responsible for creating, designing, deploying, and supporting applications, programs, and software solutions. May include research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, or any other activities related to software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. The software development process requires in-depth subject matter expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages. Software Developers work closely with business partners and / or external clients in defining requirements and implementing solutions. The Software Development Engineer In Test (SDET) role encompasses automation development and execution, functional, and non-functional testing. The SDET role specializes in the design, development, execution, and maintenance of automated tests to ensure the quality of software products. Partners with team members to understand software requirements and execute automated tests that validate the functionality while considering privacy and security requirements

Your Primary Responsibilities

• Apply different software development and testing methodologies, tools, and technologies
• Develop, execute, and maintain automated tests across the delivery lifecycle
• Maintain traceability from user stories through test cases to automated scripts
• Identify dependencies for environmental and data requirements.
• Develop applications and construct unit test cases that ensure compliance with functional requirements
• Follow design and code standards, contributing to continuous improvement discussions
• Align risk and control processes into day-to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately
• Create and maintain system documentation
• Support senior team members to implement solutions using software delivery best practices
• Work with peers to mature ways of working, contributing to continuous testing within the software delivery processes and integrate automated test with CI/CD pipeline
• Partner with team members to understand software requirements and design automated tests that validate the functionality
• Collaborate with internal and external teams on development, testing, troubleshooting, and improve overall software quality
• Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of related experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
  
  

Talents Needed For Success

• Proven experience leading end-to-end test planning and execution in Agile delivery environments
• Strong experience in functional testing, automation testing, integration testing, and defect lifecycle management
• Hands-on experience with test design techniques such as equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis, decision table testing, pairwise testing, and exploratory testing
• Experience working with JIRA and ALM/AQM for requirements traceability, test management, reporting, and issue tracking
• Experience with one or more programming/scripting languages such as Java or Python
• Experience with automation and API testing tools/frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, Karate, Rest Assured, or similar
• Experience with source control and CI/CD tooling such as Git / Bitbucket and Jenkins
• Familiarity with AI Prompt Engineering, AI Agents, and productivity tooling to improve test design, coverage, and execution efficiency
• Strong experience validating file-based and data-intensive workflows involving XML, CSV, schema validation, field mappings, transformations, and database verification
• Experience in financial services, regulatory/reporting processes, onboarding flows, portal-based applications, or data-platform testing preferred
• Experience coordinating across multiple teams, managing dependencies, and communicating quality status to stakeholders and leadership preferred
