Software Development Engineer II Amazon Endpoint Guardian

Description

The Amazon Endpoint Guardian team, based out of Hyderabad, part of the Enterprise Engineering org, builds highly-scalable enterprise products that safeguard data on Amazon assets, adhering to Amazon’s unique and high security bar. We manage and continuously develop products that are multi-tenant, cross platform and fully AWS native - enabling Amazon Corp, internal organizations

and new acquisitions securely manage corporate owned mobile devices and access to Amazon resources on BYO devices.

You will join a highly technical and a fast moving team which is always on hunt for new technology adaption, operational excellence, and keep customer focus and data security at the helm all the time.

We are looking for a motivated SDE II with the desire and talent to contribute to this team. This person should have a successful track record of independently designing and delivering new features or products. This person has thrived and succeeded in delivering high quality technology products and services in a hyper-growth environment where technologies and features shift fast. This person should have demonstrated expertise in design and implementation of complex cross domain products.

Key job responsibilities

As a Software Development Engineer II, you will design and own platform specific services and technologies in AEG. You will work on adapting to the changes platforms bring, improve our products continuously, operate at the highest level. You will have significant opportunities in driving overall strategy by helping define new product features, drive the system architecture, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product. In the process, you will partner with Senior Engineers, security partners, mobile/laptop platform providers to build systems in this space.

A day in the life

Operate highly scalable systems making sure the customers are served all the time.

Develop AEG product features catering to iOS/Android/fireOS/macOS/Windows platforms.

Interact with customers (internal), partner teams in understanding new requirements/problems, collaborate with them in finding solutions.

Design reviews, dashboard presentations, demos.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 4+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• 3+ years of contributing to new and current systems architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) experience
• 2+ years of full stack development experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of Android development experience
• Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
