Amazon Finance Technology (FinTech) invites talented engineers to shape the future of financial systems. We build highly scalable, next-generation platforms utilizing Amazon Cloud and GenAI technologies. Our Fintech Compliance and Automation Systems team seeks a Software Development Engineer to join our innovative group. We develop advanced solutions that enhance compliance, increase accuracy, and streamline Amazon's global financial operations.

As a Software Development Engineer, you will play a role in the design, implementation and deployment of large-scale and complex software systems. You will work on difficult problems with visible risks or roadblocks. You will bring clarity to problems and identify simple designs for solutions.

Key job responsibilities

Define high level and low level design for software solutions using the latest AWS technology in a large distributed environment.

Take the lead on defining and implementing engineering best practices and using data to define and improve operational best practices.

Help drive the architecture and technology choices for FinTech products.

Design, develop and deploy medium to large software solutions for Amazon Finance needs.

Raise the bar on code quality, including security, readability, consistency, maintainability.

Demonstrate operational excellence in all of your work.

Lead the developer productivity initiatives - Leverage Gen AI

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 3+ years of Video Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
