Service Engineer – Pharma Packaging

Qualification

ITI / Diploma / B.E. in Electronics, Industrial Automation, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics

Experience

3+ years of field service experience, preferably in Pharma, FMCG, or Food & Beverage industries

Location & Travel:

Pan India and overseas travel as per project requirements. Candidate should be flexible to travel on short notice, including weekends and holidays when required.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Service Engineer to provide after-sales service and technical support for high-speed pharma packaging machines. The candidate will be responsible for installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer training activities at client sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation, calibration, configuration, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of packaging machines and associated equipment
• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance activities
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers
• Conduct machine startup and commissioning activities
• Read and understand electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical documents
• Train customer operators and technicians on machine operation and maintenance
• Coordinate with engineering, project, spare parts, and service teams for issue resolution
• Prepare and submit service reports, expense reports, and technical documentation
• Ensure proper handling and return of defective parts
• Recommend spare parts and technical improvements to customers
• Support manufacturing and refurbishment activities when required
• Maintain tools, instruments, and equipment in safe and calibrated condition
• Follow all company safety procedures and site safety regulations
• Provide technical support to field engineers and technicians
• Use computers, smartphones, and service applications for reporting and communication
• Maintain professional conduct and appearance while interacting with customers
  
  

Required Skills

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good knowledge of pharma packaging machines
• Experience in Blister Packaging, Cartoning, Filling Lines, and Conveyors preferred
• Knowledge of electrical systems, automation, and instrumentation
• Good computer skills and reporting abilities
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
• Strong communication and customer-handling skills
