You Will:
Serve as the primary Workday Financials (Source-to-Pay) subject matter expert for Procurement, AP, Expenses, and Supplier Management, translating business requirements into scalable Workday configurations and enhancements.
Own the end-to-end solution design for S2P processes in Workday, including spend authorization, purchasing, invoicing, settlement, and related accounting, ensuring solutions are aligned to LiveRamp’s control framework and audit requirements.
Lead the full lifecycle of change delivery (discover, design, build, test, deploy, and hypercare) for Workday FINS features, releases, and projects, including documenting designs, maintaining configuration workbooks, and keeping solution and process documentation current.
Partner closely with Procurement, Accounting, FP&A, IT, Security, and vendor stakeholders to continuously improve operational efficiency, data quality, and user experience across the S2P process.
Design and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, and analytics in support of financial close, spend transparency, supplier performance, and compliance monitoring, including defined success metrics for your work.
Own the impact assessment, regression test planning, and release readiness for Workday semi-annual releases and weekly updates specific to FINS and S2P, coordinating cross-functional testing and sign-off.
Troubleshoot complex production issues in Workday Financials, perform root cause analysis, and implement durable fixes and preventive controls with clear communication to business partners.
Establish and maintain configuration, integration, and security standards for S2P, including appropriate segregation of duties and least-privilege access for Workday users and support teams.
Develop training materials and job aids, and deliver targeted enablement sessions for end users, process owners, and other support teams to drive adoption and correct usage of Workday S2P functionality.
Define and track key performance indicators (e.g., PO cycle time, invoice exception rate, touchless processing %, on-time payment %, close readiness) and use these metrics to prioritize and measure the success of improvements over 6, 12, and 18 months.
Leverage AI-driven analytics to surface trends in spend, invoice exceptions, and supplier performance, and translate those insights into concrete Workday S2P improvements.
Evaluate and pilot AI-based automation (e.g., smart invoice/PO matching, classification, and routing) that can reduce manual work and improve control effectiveness in S2P.
Your Team Will:
Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Sourcing, Procurement, and IT to build and operate a reliable, well-controlled, and data-driven Workday Financials ecosystem that supports LiveRamp’s growth.
Own the Workday Financials product roadmap for Source-to-Pay, prioritizing enhancements, integrations, and automations that reduce manual work and increase data accuracy.
Deliver high-quality projects and improvements in tight coordination with Accounting, Procurement Operations, and FP&A, ensuring alignment with close timelines, compliance needs, and budgeting cycles.
Manage the intake, triage, and resolution of Workday FINS/S2P support requests, balancing quick time-to-resolution with long-term, scalable solutions.
Maintain and enhance integrations between Workday and related systems (e.g., banking, T&E, vendor risk, tax, and procurement tools) in partnership with integration engineers and external partners.
Standardize global S2P processes where possible while supporting region-specific regulatory and tax requirements through Workday configuration and controls.
Act as a trusted advisor to Finance leadership, providing insights on process and system best practices, Workday roadmap features, and opportunities to simplify the technology and process landscape.
Foster a culture of documentation, transparency, and continuous improvement so changes are well-understood, auditable, and easy to support over time.
Partner with Finance and Procurement to embed AI-powered insights into Workday reports and dashboards so stakeholders can quickly spot outliers, risks, and optimization opportunities.
Continuously explore new AI capabilities in Workday and adjacent tools, sharing learnings and playbooks so the broader team can adopt what works.
About You:
3+ years of hands-on experience as a Workday Financials analyst, consultant, or product owner, with direct ownership of Source-to-Pay processes (e.g., Procurement, Supplier Accounts, Expenses).
Demonstrated experience configuring Workday Financials, including at least two of: Procurement, Supplier Accounts, Business Assets, Expenses, Banking & Settlement, or related FINS modules.
You are deeply curious about how systems, data, and business processes work, and you naturally dig into configuration details rather than treating tools as black boxes.
You are hungry to learn and a true lifelong learner—you actively seek out new Workday features, product updates, and best practices, and you enjoy sharing what you learn with others.
You are a go-getter who takes ownership of problems end-to-end, follows through on commitments, and is comfortable driving work forward without needing constant direction.
You are an experimenter who prototypes, tests, and iterates; you’re comfortable trying new approaches, measuring outcomes, and quickly adjusting based on what you learn.
You are systems-minded and enjoy thinking in terms of processes, dependencies, and edge cases; you naturally anticipate downstream impacts before making changes in production.
You are detail-oriented and disciplined, especially when it comes to documentation, testing, and change control, and you understand that small configuration changes can have big consequences.
You are a strong collaborator and communicator, able to translate between business language and system behavior so that stakeholders understand both the “why” and the “how” of proposed solutions.
You are calm under pressure and comfortable troubleshooting ambiguous or complex issues, methodically working through hypotheses until you find and fix the root cause.
You are service-oriented, finding energy in helping Finance, HR, and business partners be successful through reliable systems, high-quality data, and thoughtful support.
Curious about AI and automation and comfortable learning new tools (e.g., copilots, code assistants, or analytics platforms) to boost your impact even if you haven’t used them formally before.
Confident in asking questions, running small experiments, and using data/AI-generated insights to challenge the status quo and propose better ways of working.
Preferred Skills:
Workday Pro or Workday Financials certification, or equivalent depth in Workday Procurement, Suppliers, AP, and Expenses in a SaaS environment.
Hands-on work with S2P integrations into Workday, including AP automation, banking, tax, vendor management, and T&E systems, using secure file/API patterns and robust reconciliation practices.
Familiarity with Zip (or similar intake/sourcing tools) for request/sourcing workflows and Ironclad (or similar CLM platforms) for contract lifecycle management, and how both connect into Workday S2P.
Experience operating in public or pre-IPO tech with SOX, procurement controls, and audit requirements, and translating those into Workday configuration, approvals, and segregation of duties.
Proven track record of using data and dashboards (Workday reports, Prism/BI, or equivalent) to reduce invoice exceptions, shorten PO/invoice/payment cycle times, and improve supplier performance visibility.
Experience partnering with Business Applications / Enterprise Systems and adjacent tools (Zip, Ironclad, T&E, ticketing) to design simple, scalable, and well-documented S2P workflows.
Comfort working with large data sets in Excel or similar tools to validate configuration changes, reconcile data, and analyze trends.
Has used AI tools to streamline Source to Pay work (e.g., generating Workday S2P test cases, drafting procurement/AP/expenses process documentation, summarizing invoice exception or supplier issue tickets), reducing manual effort and cycle time for releases and operational changes.
Regularly leverages AI to improve S2P decision quality (e.g., quickly analyzing spend, supplier, or invoice exception patterns; comparing configuration or approval options; or pressure-testing proposed changes to match rules or workflows) and then validates results against Workday data, internal controls, and procurement/AP policies.
