Position Description: The systems analyst will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating business requirements, consulting with personnel from various departments and identifying areas for technical solutions development and business process improvements.

Your future duties and responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders across Domain, Application Owners, Data Stewards, Analytics, Legal, Compliance, and IT teams to gather and define requirements
• Drive data retention (archive/purge) initiatives including design, testing, and release
• Perform application implementations using modern technologies such as AWS, RDBMS, Postgres, APIs, and query languages
• Analyze existing platforms and identify areas for enhancement in collaboration with development teams
• Work with DBAs and Data Modelers to implement changes supporting data archival and compliance
• Design, document, and review system/application specifications aligned with business needs
• Conduct in-depth data analysis, interpretation, and reporting
• Facilitate requirement gathering sessions (JAD sessions) with business users
• Support testing, debugging, and deployment activities
• Operate effectively in Agile, self-organizing teams and take ownership of deliverables
• Provide progress updates to senior leadership
  
  

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong SQL/querying skills with ability to write complex queries (SQL, HQL)
• Hands-on experience with RDBMS (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres)
• Experience in requirement gathering and stakeholder collaboration
• Knowledge of data lifecycle management (archive/purge, data retention policies)
• Knowledge on AWS cloud services (foundational level)
• Experience in testing, debugging, and solution design
• Ability to conduct and lead JAD sessions / workshops
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
• Ability to work in Agile environments with ownership mindset
• Experience translating complex business requirements into technical solutions
  
  

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience in Healthcare domain / healthcare analytics
• Knowledge of data governance, legal, and compliance requirements
• Experience working with APIs and integration technologies
• Familiarity with data modeling concepts
• Experience supporting production environments
• Exposure to emerging technologies and tools
• Ability to evaluate technology trade-offs and implementation impacts
• Passion for using technology to improve healthcare outcomes
