Senior Software Engineer Enterprise Insurance Systems

BlitzenX is building deep capability in enterprise insurance platforms. We are hiring experienced Java engineers who want to specialize in large-scale insurance systems, including Guidewire.

This is not a generic Java role.

This is a specialization track into enterprise insurance platforms.

You will be expected to transition from pure Java development into Guidewire configuration and integration while maintaining engineering rigor at scale.

What You Will Own

• Design and develop enterprise-grade insurance system components.
• Work across both Guidewire configuration (Gosu, business rules, workflows, product model) and Guidewire integrations (APIs, messaging, external system connectivity).
• Build and maintain Java-based services supporting insurance platform integrations.
• Develop REST/SOAP services and integration layers.
• Understand policy lifecycle, claims lifecycle, and insurance domain workflows.
• Troubleshoot performance, scalability, and data integrity issues.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and integration strategy.
• Deliver production-ready, high-quality code — not prototypes.
  
  

This role requires learning and mastering Guidewire configuration and integration as core responsibilities. Comfort staying only in Java will not work here.

What We Are Looking For Mandatory

• 6+ years of hands-on Java development.
• Strong understanding of:
• OOP principles
• Multithreading
• Collections framework
• Exception handling
• JVM internals
• Performance tuning
• Experience with Spring / Spring Boot.
• Strong API design experience (REST/SOAP).
• Experience with SQL and database design.
• Experience working on enterprise-scale applications.
• Comfortable working from office in a high-collaboration environment.
  

Critical Mindset Requirements

• Willingness to transition into Guidewire configuration (Gosu, product model, rules engine).
• Willingness to work on integration-heavy enterprise systems.
• Ability to learn domain-driven systems quickly.

This is a structured transition into a niche, enterprise insurance platform where long-term specialization is expected.
