We are looking for a high-caliber Senior Principal, HR Strategy & Transformation to help shape the HR Strategy for Progress Software. Partnering directly with our Global VP of HR Strategy, this role sits at the intersection of strategy, transformation, and execution. This is a unique opportunity for someone who brings the structured thinking of a consultant and the delivery discipline of a transformation leader.
Operating as a high-level individual contributor with a global mandate, you will act as a critical force multiplier, helping to architect and operationalize the people strategy of a global business. You will lead complex, cross-functional transformation projects that redefine how we attract, engage, and elevate our talent worldwide. As our organization evolves, this role offers the distinct possibility of expanding in scope and leadership. What You Will Do (The Mission)
Global Strategic Architecture: Co-design the overarching global HR strategy, utilizing data and market intelligence to align our people initiatives with aggressive global business growth targets.
End-to-End Transformation: Lead the execution of critical HR transformation projects. You will build the roadmaps, manage the milestones, and navigate the change management required to implement new operating models across diverse, global HR teams.
AI & Digital HR Transformation: Spearhead the integration of Artificial Intelligence and next-generation tech across the HR lifecycle. You will identify opportunities to embed AI into everyday HR processes and employee experiences, driving our evolution toward a fully AI-powered, frictionless HR function.
Shape the Talent Narrative: Partner cross-functionally to assess our organizational identity and map the complete employee experience (EX). You will design frameworks that define how we position ourselves in a highly competitive global talent market.
Cross-Functional Orchestration: Act as the connective tissue between HR Centers of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Talent Management, etc.), using strong matrix-management skills to ensure cohesive execution of the broader strategy.
Data-Driven Consulting: Serve as an internal consultant to the global HR leadership team, bringing external market insights, benchmarking, and predictive analytics to solve complex organizational challenges.
What You Bring (The DNA)
Extensive HR Strategy Experience: 10+ years of experience across HR Strategy, people consulting, HR Strategic projects, or comparable enterprise HR roles. While not mandatory, a background in top-tier management consulting (focusing on Human Capital, Organization Design, or Transformation) is a strong advantage.
Delivery Discipline: Proven ability to run large-scale, multi-stream global HR projects from white-board conception to successful adoption as an individual contributor driving results through influence.
AI & Tech Proficiency: A deep, practical understanding of the emerging HR technology landscape, specifically GenAI, automation, and digital EX platforms. You do not just use technology; you envision how AI can fundamentally redesign workflows and elevate human-centric HR delivery.
Strategic Storytelling & Positioning: Exceptional ability to craft compelling narratives around organizational culture. You understand the psychology of talent attraction and know how to build frameworks that resonate with top-tier candidates and internal employees alike.
Global Matrix Agility: High capability to influence, align stakeholders, and drive results without direct authority across a complex, multi-cultural, and global matrix.
Executive Presence: High comfort level partnering with, challenging, and presenting to senior executive leadership on a global scale.
