Senior Postgres Platform Engineer

Evaluates new database technologies and tools in the industry. Sets database system administration and programming standards, applies database technology to business problems, manages development and production database environments with emphasis on security, availability, and performance. Determines appropriateness of data for storage and optimum storage organization. Creates sustainable and maintainable tools to automate database provisioning, patching, monitoring, metrics, maintenance, and administration.

What you’ll achieve

As a Senior Postgres Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and operating production PostgreSQL clusters at scale, building the automation and platform capabilities that power Dells Database Platform. You will work with a global database engineering team to deliver self-healing database infrastructure using Ansible, pgVector, Kubernetes and agentic coding patterns.
