Job Brief:- AU Small Finance Bank Limited is seeking an experienced professional to lead the appraisal of gold assets within our Operations and Services department. This role demands a deep understanding of gold valuation, market trends, and regulatory compliance to support our gold loan portfolio. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely appraisal of gold items, mitigate risks associated with collateral valuation, and contribute to the bank's commitment to secure and efficient lending practices. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams to uphold the bank's standards and customer trust.

Responsibilities:-

• Conduct thorough and precise appraisal of gold jewelry and bullion to determine accurate market value for loan processing.
• Stay updated with current gold market trends, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory guidelines to ensure compliance and accurate valuations.
• Verify the authenticity and purity of gold items using industry-standard testing methods and equipment.
• Collaborate with loan officers and operations teams to provide timely appraisal reports that support efficient loan disbursal.
• Maintain detailed records of appraisals, including photographs, assay reports, and valuation certificates, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to gold collateral by detecting counterfeit or substandard items.
• Train and mentor junior appraisers and operations staff on gold appraisal techniques and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with internal audit and compliance teams during inspections and audits related to gold loan collateral.
• Implement and continuously improve appraisal processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure adherence to the bank’s policies, industry standards, and legal requirements in all appraisal activities.
