About this role:

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer with deep TypeScript and React experience to help us scale the applications that power our non-emergency medical transportation services. Youll join a small, fast-moving team responsible for building and maintaining the web interfaces and client-side systems used by our patients, providers, and internal teams.

Were looking for a pragmatic problem-solver who can take ownership, lead technically, and ship high-impact features. Youll be shipping features weekly and adapting to evolving product needs. Youll need to ask good questions and make reasonable assumptions when specs arent crystal clear. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

This role requires an engineer who takes initiative and follows through. Youll help shape our frontend architecture, mentor other engineers, and ensure high-quality, maintainable, and scalable interfaces across our suite of products.

The software you design and build will be used to address a large variety of use cases, such as:

• Empowering patients with varied skills and disabilities to manage their care services schedules
• Providing real-time updates to our call center staff and care providers
• Delivering efficient, intuitive interfaces for operations and customer support teams
• Integrating with GraphQL APIs and backend systems to support complex workflows
• Building shared component libraries and design systems to accelerate development.
  
  

• Design and develop user interfaces using React, Remix, and TypeScript
• Define and maintain frontend architecture, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability
• Collaborate with backend and product teams to design and integrate with GraphQL APIs
• Mentor and support other engineers in writing clean, well-typed, maintainable code
• Review code and guide best practices across TypeScript and React development
• Improve developer experience, build tools, and CI/CD pipelines for frontend applications
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to long-term technical strategy
  
  

• Youve shipped and supported production web applications used by thousands of users
• You have 5+ years of experience building frontend systems, with deep expertise in TypeScript and React
• You have experience designing and implementing complex UIs and frontend architectures
• You understand system design principles and can collaborate effectively with backend engineers
• You lead by example: clean, well-typed code, thoughtful abstractions, and strong testing practices
• Youre a strong communicator who values collaboration and feedback
• You enjoy working in small teams and splitting time between writing code, reviewing PRs, tooling decisions, and technical planning
• You are able to overlap around US Pacific Time business hours (key meetings between 8:30am–2:30pm PT)
  
  

• Deep expertise with TypeScript and modern React patterns (hooks, context, suspense, etc.)
• Experience with Remix, Next.js, or similar frameworks
• Familiarity with GraphQL (Apollo, Urql, or Absinthe)
• Strong understanding of frontend performance, accessibility, and testing (e.g., Jest, Playwright)
• Experience with design systems, component libraries, and cross-application UI patterns
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, AWS)
• Experience building secure applications handling sensitive data.
