Job Description
Job Requirements
At Quest Global, it’s not just what we do but how and why we do it that makes us different. With over 25 years as an engineering services provider, we believe in the power of doing things differently to make the impossible possible. Our people are driven by the desire to make the world a better place—to make a positive difference that contributes to a brighter future. We bring together technologies and industries, alongside the contributions of diverse individuals who are empowered by an intentional workplace culture, to solve problems better and faster.
We are looking for a Digital-Twin and Robotics Simulation Engineer to build and maintain the simulation-first pipeline for a humanoid robotics program. The role centers on building high-fidelity digital twins in NVIDIA Omniverse / Isaac Sim, generating synthetic data, and supporting policy training and validation for a humanoid robot before it is deployed on physical hardware. Candidates with a strong real-time 3D / simulation background (Unity, Unreal Engine, or similar, using C++/C#) who have since transitioned into the NVIDIA Omniverse / Isaac ecosystem are strongly preferred.
Roles & Responsibilities
Build and maintain physically accurate digital twins of robot platforms on OpenUSD using NVIDIA Omniverse and Isaac Sim.
Set up scenes, sensors, physics properties, and environment randomization for synthetic data generation using Isaac Lab / Cosmos world models.
Support training and post-training of foundation-model robot policies (e.g., Isaac GR00T-class VLA models) by preparing simulation-ready datasets and trajectories.
Develop Python-based tooling and pipelines to automate scene generation, domain randomization, data export, and simulation-to-training hand-off.
Integrate Omniverse / Isaac Sim outputs with ROS 2 nodes, middleware bridges, and downstream AI training workflows.
Work with the embedded / MCU team to align simulation timing, sensor models, and control interfaces with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) requirements.
Validate simulation fidelity against real robot behaviour and iterate on physics tuning, sensor noise models, and scene accuracy.
Collaborate with 3D content, AI/ML, and embedded engineers to keep digital assets, physics rigs, and policies in sync across the pipeline.
Document simulation architecture, pipelines, and configuration for reuse across future robot programs.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and technical design reviews.
We are known for our extraordinary people who make the impossible possible every day. Questians are driven by hunger, humility, and aspiration. We believe that our company culture is the key to our ability to make a true difference in every industry we reach. Our teams regularly invest time and dedicated effort into internal culture work, ensuring that all voices are heard.
We wholeheartedly believe in the diversity of thought that comes with fostering a culture rooted in respect, where everyone belongs, is valued, and feels inspired to share their ideas. We know embracing our unique differences makes us better, and that solving the worlds hardest engineering problems requires diverse ideas, perspectives, and backgrounds. We shine the brightest when we tap into the many dimensions that thrive across over 21,000 difference-makers in our workplace.
Work Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
4-7 years of software / simulation engineering experience, including current hands-on work with NVIDIA Omniverse and Isaac Sim.
Working experience with Isaac Lab, Isaac GR00T, and/or NVIDIA Cosmos world models (or clear ability to ramp up quickly on these).
Strong Python scripting skills for simulation automation, data pipelines, and tooling.
Solid foundation in 3D graphics, physics-based simulation, and real-time rendering concepts.
Prior professional experience with Unity3D or Unreal Engine using C++ and/or C# — this real-time engine background, later transitioned into NVIDIA Omniverse/Isaac, is a strong plus.
Understanding of USD (Universal Scene Description) based workflows and asset/scene pipelines.
Familiarity with robot description formats (URDF/USD physics articulation) and basic robotics concepts (kinematics, sensors, actuators).
Experience with version control (Git), Agile development, and collaborative engineering practices.
Good communication and documentation skills; comfortable working with cross-functional AI, embedded, and simulation teams.
Desired / Good-to-have Skills
Exposure to synthetic data generation, domain randomization, and dataset annotation for AI/ML model training.
Familiarity with ROS/ROS2 middleware and robot control stacks.
Experience with GPU-accelerated reinforcement learning or imitation learning workflows.
Exposure to humanoid, AMR, AGV, or robotic-arm simulation projects.
Knowledge of sensor simulation (LiDAR, depth cameras, IMU) within Omniverse/Isaac Sim.
Understanding of sim-to-real transfer challenges and techniques.
Familiarity with cloud/on-prem GPU compute environments for large-scale simulation and training.
