Job Description

As a Senior Data Test Engineer, you will accomplish test cases for data projects, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and reliability. You will collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and other partners to enhance data processes and analytics solutions.

Reporting to the Data Test Manager within the Product & Technology Team, you'll focus on maintaining the quality and reliability of data engineering processes and contributing to our data strategies. This role is a hybrid model.

What you will do.

• Collaborate with teams to understand data processing and analytics requirements.
• Create Test data, SQL scripts to validate ETL flows, data loading, transformations, aggregations, and data reconciliation.
• Design and implement test cases to validate the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data processing workflows.
• Conduct Experience writing clean, concise code with comments testing of scripts, procedures and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to validate data integrity and consistency.
• Identify and address data quality issues through rigorous testing and validation.
• Verify the accuracy of data transformations and aggregations within the data warehouse.
• Implement regression testing to ensure that changes to data processes do not adversely improve existing functionality.
• Maintain regression test suites for ongoing projects.
• Participate in User acceptance testing and support implementations.
• Log and tracking defects. Collaborate with teams to address issues and implement solutions.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for test plans, test cases, and test results.
• Report defects, ensuring resolution.
  
  

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a Senior Data Test Engineer.
• Experience in AI Agents and Machine Learning Ops (ML-Ops) frameworks.
• Experience with data processing technologies.
• Experience testing large datasets and designing test cases for data warehousing and BI reports.
• Proficiency in advanced SQL queries and test management tools.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies, including manual, API, and automated testing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and cloud environments.
• Experience approaching a problem from different angles, analysing pros and cons of different solutions for identifying and addressing complex data quality issues.
• Experience troubleshooting issues with users for working with all kinds of team members.
• Understanding of data governance and compliance practices.
