About The Department:

• The Compliance Review Team (CRT) is a dynamic and innovative team within Franklin Templeton’s Global Compliance department. Operating as part of the firm’s second line of defence, CRT provides independent oversight across Franklin Templeton’s investment advisers and associated service providers globally. The team delivers targeted assurance that the business operates in line with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. CRT identifies and assesses regulatory risk through an agile program of periodic compliance risk assessments and thematic reviews of key regulatory areas. The team works closely with Compliance Officers and business stakeholders worldwide to deliver practical insights and drive continuous improvement in compliance oversight.

What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role?

Experience, Education & Certifications:

• Minimum three years’ experience in compliance monitoring, controls testing, internal audit, or risk assurance.

• Experience within the financial services industry.

• Strong understanding of the asset management sector and compliance risks.

• Experience with global asset management regulations.

• Knowledge of US, EMEA, and APAC regulatory environments preferred.

• Professional certification such as CA, MBA, CIA, or equivalent preferred.

Technical & Analytical Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to deliver high-quality outcomes under tight timelines.

• Experience or strong interest in automating compliance testing.

• Exposure to analytics, scripting, or workflow solutions preferred.

• Experience with data analytics, visualization, or dashboarding tools.

• Familiarity with AI-enabled tools such as Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.

• Strong relationship-building skills across global teams.

• Ability to work independently with accountability and ownership.
