Senior Analyst Manager - Legal Operations

DESRI (formerly D. E. Shaw Renewable Investments) is a market-leading owner and operator of renewable energy projects throughout the United States. We have acquired or developed approximately 13 gigawatts of contracted capacity across a portfolio of over 85 renewable energy projects in 24 states.

What Youll Do

In this role, you will support legal operations and partner closely with a dynamic commercial team. You will collaborate with finance, deal teams, project managers, lenders, utilities, and internal legal stakeholders across DESRI to manage a wide range of operational and transactional matters including KYCs, entity management, maintaining accurate corporate records, supporting entity formations, restructuring, as well as ensuring timely filings and documentation. A key aspect of this role is mentoring a team responsible for handling high-volume operational workflows, ensuring attention to details, consistency, and timely delivery while building scalable and efficient systems.

You will also drive process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for standardization, automation, and optimization across legal operations, helping enhance efficiency and reduce risk across the function.

Who We’re Looking For

• Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in business administration/management, finance or any related field with a proven record of academic achievement and 4-6 years of experience in compliance and operational workflows, including entity management, KYCs, regulatory compliance for US operations, tax ids and related compliance.
• Candidates with consulting and compliance experience are preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured review guidelines and escalation protocol.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, with experience using legal technology tools, including AI-based platforms and document automation systems, or demonstrated willingness and aptitude to quickly learn such tools.
• Ability to work effectively with US-based legal teams in a cross-border environment.
