We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

In this role, you will:

• Install, configure and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, Ubuntu) across development, testing and production environments.
• Monitor system performance and resource utilization, tuning systems for optimal performance and uptime
• Administer use access, permissions, and authentication using tools like LDAP, SSSD, PAM and sudo policies .
• Manage OS-level patching, kernel updates, package installations, and system upgrades while minimizing downtime.
• Automate recurring operational tasks using shell scripting(Bash), Python, or tools like Ansible.
• Troubleshoot system-level issues including file systems, services, performance bottlenecks and hardware failures.
• Maintain and manage storage volumes, logal volume management (LVM), and NFS Mounts.
• Ensure OS security compliance by implementing hardening policies, managing firewalls (iptables/firewalld), and monitoring vulnerabilities.
• Support infrastructure monitoring and alerting systems such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, AppDynamics
• Create and maintain detailed documentation including SOPs, runbooks, patch logs, and DR Procedures.
• Participate in change, incident and problem management processes in alignment with ITIL practices.
• Support backup/restore operations and assist in DR/BCP testing and audits.
• Collaborate with application, database, and network teams to provide integrated platform support.
• Participate in a shared on-call rotation and respond to critical incidents in a timely manner.
• Identify opportunities for service improvement and contribute to platform modernization and tooling initiatives.
  
  

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in managing Linux systems in enterprise or data center environments
• Proficiency in Bash and automation tools like Ansible, Terraform and implantation of Rundeck or similar tools.
• Solid understanding of networking basics (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, firewalls).
• Experience working with virtualization(VMware, KVM) and cloud platforms(AWS, GCP).
• Familiarity with DevOps pipelines , containers (Docker), and Git workflows is a plus.
• Strong analytics skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Experience with regulatory or security compliance environments (e.g. SOX, ISO27001) is an advantage
