Job Description

Job Description

We are looking for a Scrum Master to guide and coach multiple Agile software development teams in delivering high-quality products with a focus on continuous improvement, collaboration, and customer value. The successful candidate will be a champion of Agile principles, an advocate for the team, and a key facilitator of delivery excellence across the technology organisation.

This role goes beyond day-to-day Scrum ceremonies — you will play a pivotal part in shaping Agile culture, improving delivery processes, and mentoring teams.

Responsibilities

Facilitation & Delivery

  • Lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews) across multiple teams
  • Ensure sprint goals are clearly defined and aligned with business objectives
  • Support the Product department in maintaining a well-refined and prioritised backlog
  • Track, manage, and communicate team progress using Jira
  • Remove impediments proactively to maintain team momentum

Agile Coaching & Culture

  • Coach Technical and Product departments on Agile principles and practices
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and experimentation
  • Promote transparency, accountability, and self-organisation across teams
  • Cross-Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with the Product department to align planning and dependencies across teams
  • Facilitate communication between technical, product, and business stakeholders
  • Support scaling of Agile practices (e.g., Scrum of Scrums, SAFe, or custom frameworks as relevant)

Metrics & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyse delivery metrics (velocity, throughput, lead time, quality trends) to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Support data-driven decision making within and across teams
  • Help shape the department’s delivery frameworks and contribute to Agile maturity initiatives

Essential

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master (4+ years), preferably in a software environment
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and how to apply them pragmatically
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience working with Jira or similar Agile tools
  • Ability to balance delivery pace with quality and sustainability
  • Track record of driving measurable improvements in delivery or team culture

Desirable

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PSM II, or equivalent Agile certification
  • Experience working with distributed or cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of scaling frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, Spotify model, etc.)
  • Background in software engineering, product management, or delivery management
