Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for an experienced and talented software quality assurance engineer who can work independently and proactively resolve any issues. In this role you will be working closely with cross-functional teams across CRD and State Street located in the US, EMEA and APAC regions. This role entails collaboration with product, development and SQA teams during US-EST business hours.

What You Will Be Responsible For

  • Creation of Test Strategy document and getting it reviewed and approved by QA Director.
  • Writing detailed functional testcases covering Fixed Income execution workflows in X-Ray and getting them reviewed and approved by the Product Development team.
  • Reviewing testcases with cross functional teams for end-to-end integration testing.
  • Creating automation tests every sprint along with manual testing
  • Leading end-to-end integration testing with QA peers across various CRD applications.
  • Demoing the workflows to business owners and requesting release signoff.
  • Developing a thorough understanding of the Charles River IMS product
  • Work closely with the Scrum Master, Product Owner, business analysts, product specialists, developers, and other project team members to assist in carrying out the software quality responsibilities of the Scrum team
  • Create comprehensive test automation scripts from business requirements and functional specifications documents for product features of moderate complexity
  • Execute manual and automated functional, integration, regression, and performance tests
  • Maintain automated and manual test script libraries for functional, integration, regression, and performance testing
  • Interpret results of automation tests and document software defects in issue tracking system; proactively communicate issues with developers and other project team members
  • Provide testing leadership by identifying opportunities for improvement in the Scrum team’s QA methodology
  • Adhere to a testing schedule to ensure efficient and effective product delivery


Education And Preferred Qualifications

B.S. degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, and Physics or other technical course of study. MS degree strongly preferred.

Experience

  • 12 to 16 years of experience in software Automation testing in a process driven technology environment.
  • Demonstrated experience programming with C#, SQL and shell scripting languages such as Powershell and Bash.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing automation tests with Silk4Net strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and executing automation test scripts against web, native/desktop applications, APIs and batch applications.
  • Demonstrated experience using test cases, scripts, and automated test tools for verifying requirements on multi-tier applications
  • Demonstrated ability translating business requirements into comprehensive functional and technical test plans
  • Knowledgeable in one or more CRD functional areas strongly desired
  • A minimum of 8 years working with an Agile development methodology strongly desired
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • C# or Java is a must
