A Day in the Life
As a Program Manager on our Global Accounts Receivable team, youll focus on modernizing our receivables processes through strategic initiatives and cross-functional collaboration. You might start your day reviewing performance metrics across our collections and cash application workflows, then transition into a working session with our finance systems team to evaluate automation opportunities. Later, you could be facilitating a discussion with stakeholders across multiple geographies to identify root causes of process bottlenecks, or presenting data-driven recommendations to senior finance leaders. Youll also spend time mentoring team members on process improvements and building relationships with business partners who depend on our receivables operations. Your work spans multiple areas—from designing new control frameworks to implementing tools that streamline how we manage vendor disputes and billing inquiries.

Key Job Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive understanding of Amazons Finance Operations systems and processes, and work with functional leaders to build scalable solutions that resolve escalated discrepancies accurately and efficiently
Lead operational excellence initiatives by analyzing receivables processes, recommending improvements, and managing quality and internal control indicators across Collections, Cash Application, Credit Notes, and Deduction Management
Identify process improvement opportunities by collaborating with business partners, determining root causes, and building long-term solutions that drive measurable results in process efficiency and effectiveness
Manage complex, cross-functional projects and initiatives by coordinating priorities, engaging multiple stakeholder groups, and communicating progress internally and externally to ensure alignment with organizational goals
Evaluate accounts receivable risks and control environments, partnering with Finance Operations, Controllership, and Internal Audit teams to implement new controls and maintain the effectiveness of existing control frameworks
Basic Qualifications
Experience in Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable operations
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
Experience managing cross-functional projects and programs within finance environments
Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data and build reports that inform business decision-making
Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables and lookup formulas
Experience applying Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to evaluate business processes and solve complex problems
Proven ability to organize projects, develop solutions, and drive initiatives to completion
Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to build partnerships with senior leaders across diverse groups
Preferred Qualifications
MBA, CA, CPA, or CWA certification
Experience with large-scale data analysis and reporting tools such as SQL, Power BI, or similar platforms
Background in continuous improvement projects that delivered measurable results in process efficiency and controllership
Experience identifying data quality issues, determining root causes, and implementing escalation and resolution plans
Experience working in multinational organizations with exposure to international finance operations
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direction in fast-paced, evolving environments
