We are looking for a Senior Automation test engineer with 5 to 7 years of experience & below requirements

Key Responsibilities

Product & Quality Ownership

• Own end-to-end quality for assigned product areas, from requirements to release sign-off.
• Participate in requirement and design discussions; validate business workflows and customer use cases, including async and event-driven flows.
• Define comprehensive test strategies across UI, APIs, and event-based systems.
• Ensure coverage for BVT, Sanity, Regression, and Exploratory testing.
  
  

Automation & Frameworks

• Design and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright/Selenium with Python or Java.
• Build reusable abstractions for UI, API, and event-driven automation.
• Establish frameworks and guidelines enabling reliable, low-flakiness automation adoption across teams.
  
  

Asynchronous & Event-Driven Testing

• Test complex async workflows using Kafka or similar messaging systems.
• Validate event schemas, contracts, ordering, retries, idempotency, and failure scenarios.
• Design strategies for multi-hop flows, DLQs, replay, and eventual consistency.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on observability and traceability.
  
  

Performance & Reliability

• Execute performance, load, and stress testing using JMeter, k6, or similar tools.
• Analyze production-grade metrics (P95/P99 latency, throughput, error rates).
• Validate system behavior under spikes, partial failures, and downstream slowness.
  
  

Tooling, AI & CI/CD

• Use Python/Java to build internal tools for test data, event mocking, and orchestration.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate test creation, maintenance, and failure analysis.
• Integrate UI, API, and event-based automation into Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
• Improve pipeline stability and reduce async test flakiness.
  
  

Usability, Accessibility & Agile

• Validate usability and accessibility (WCAG) across critical workflows.
• Align quality activities with Agile/Scrum processes and sprint exit criteria.
• Proactively identify risks in complex async dependencies.
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 5 to 7 years of experience in testing.
• Strong experience in Playwright/Selenium automation.
• Proficiency in Python or Java.
• Hands-on experience testing event-driven, asynchronous systems (Kafka).
• Experience with performance testing tools and production metrics analysis.
• CI/CD integration using Jenkins.
• Strong foundations in manual testing types and end-to-end test strategy creation.
• Ability to mentor junior QEs and communicate quality risks effectively.
  
  

Nice to Have

• Experience with distributed microservices-based SaaS systems.
• Knowledge of schema registries, contract testing, and observability tools.
