Job Details

Job Summary: Seeking a Principal Systems Test Engineer to lead system-level test planning, coordination, and execution across multiple projects. This role involves working closely with engineering, software, and QA teams to develop test strategies, manage test personnel, create test artifacts, and drive end-to-end test execution—including automation. The ideal candidate will ensure product reliability and performance through structured system-level validation and continuous process improvement.

Preferred: ISTQB Foundation Certification

Key Responsibilities

• Define test strategies, test plans, test cases, and procedures from system requirements.
• Manage test teams and coordinate end-to-end system and integration testing.
• Lead development and execution of automated and manual tests for web, backend, and embedded systems.
• Own defect tracking, test environment setup, and tool adoption (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
• Drive test readiness reviews, test metrics tracking, and stakeholder communication.
• Interface with cross-functional teams (engineering, QA, customers, vendors) for delivery alignment.
• Support tool improvements and mentor junior engineers.
  
  

• B.Tech / MCA or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Eight (8)+ years of experience in software/system testing.
• Hands-on experience with Postman, SQL, API Testing, JavaScript, TestRail, and JIRA.
• Experience with automation tools and embedded or complex software environments.
• Familiarity with transit/transportation systems (AFCS) is a plus.
• Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
