Position: Principal Software Engineer – PHP Full Stack - Company: FIRST DUE

Experience: 15+ Years

Technology Stack: PHP (Yii Framework/Laravel), Vue.js or React, MySQL/PostgreSQL, REST APIs

Role Type: Full Stack | Individual Contributor + Technical Leadership

Role Overview

You will be responsible for leading the design and development of scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications. The role involves hands-on full-stack development, architectural decision-making, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop scalable web applications using PHP (Yii) and Vue.js
• Drive system architecture, database design, API performance, and security
• Build and maintain shared UI components and design systems
• Ensure clean code, testing, automation, and code quality standards
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership
• Collaborate with product, UX, and engineering teams
• Adopt modern tools, frameworks, and AI-assisted development practices
  
  

• 15+ years of hands-on experience in PHP (Yii preferred)
• Strong experience with Vue.js and modern frontend development
• Expertise in relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Strong knowledge of REST API design and system architecture
• Experience with Git and CI/CD practices
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
