Harmony United Medsolutions Pvt. Ltd. (HUMS) is a healthcare management organization supporting Harmony United Psychiatric Care, a US-based healthcare organization. We provide healthcare management and operational support across areas including medical billing, accounts receivable management, and other healthcare services.

As we continue to expand, we are looking for a proactive PR & Communications Executive who can support our media outreach, brand communication, healthcare storytelling, and public relations initiatives.

Position Overview

We are looking for a PR & Communications Executive who can independently manage day-to-day public relations and media communication activities.

The role will focus on identifying media opportunities, developing story ideas, contacting journalists and media professionals, preparing press materials, coordinating media opportunities, and increasing brand visibility for our healthcare organization.

The ideal candidate should have strong communication and writing skills, be comfortable reaching out to journalists and media contacts, and have a proactive approach to identifying PR opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Media Outreach & PR

• Identify relevant media opportunities for healthcare, behavioral health, mental health, and community-related topics
• Research and maintain media lists covering local, regional, healthcare, lifestyle, and relevant trade publications
• Reach out to journalists, reporters, editors, and media contacts through email and other professional channels
• Develop creative story ideas and pitch them to relevant media contacts
• Follow up consistently on media pitches and opportunities
• Support efforts to secure interviews, articles, features, and other media coverage
  
  

PR Content & Communications

• Draft press releases, media pitches, media advisories, talking points, and other PR materials
• Develop engaging healthcare-related stories and content for media outreach
• Assist with executive and provider profiles, biographies, fact sheets, and media materials
• Coordinate with internal teams to collect accurate information for PR communications
• Ensure all external communications are accurate and aligned with company and healthcare compliance requirements
  
  

Media & Journalist Coordination

• Build and maintain professional relationships with journalists, reporters, editors, and other media contacts
• Coordinate media requests, interviews, and follow-ups
• Assist executives and healthcare providers in preparing for media opportunities
• Monitor published articles and ensure company information and quotes are accurately represented
  
  

Online Media Opportunities

• Monitor journalist opportunity platforms and relevant media requests
• Identify opportunities where company executives, providers, or subject-matter experts can contribute
• Prepare and submit timely responses to relevant journalist queries
  
  

Reporting & Tracking

• Maintain an organized tracker of media contacts, pitches, follow-ups, responses, and placements
• Track media coverage and PR activities
• Prepare regular updates on media outreach and opportunities
• Review outreach results and identify ways to improve PR efforts
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
• 2–5 years of experience in PR, communications, media relations, journalism, content, or a related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience writing press releases, media pitches, articles, or other communication materials
• Ability to research journalists and identify relevant media opportunities
• Strong follow-up and relationship-building skills
• Ability to manage multiple PR activities and deadlines independently
• Proficiency in English communication and professional email writing
  
  

Preferred Experience

• Experience in healthcare, healthcare communications, behavioral health, wellness, lifestyle, or a regulated industry
• Experience communicating with journalists, editors, reporters, or media agencies
• Experience with media outreach or journalist opportunity platforms
• Experience supporting executive communications or thought-leadership initiatives
